**** that boy look like a warrior. He's got that no bullsh*t square jaw. Man I really hope this kids sticks.

I think the key for us holding on to him is how we finish this season. If he can firmly believe he is jumping onto a ship that is headed straight up and moving towards great things, I think he sticks. He seems like the kind of kid who is relishing in saying "Im going to the U". Sure lots of his classmates are probably headed to UCLA, but sometimes you get these kids who WANT to do something different, who WANT to go against the grain, and make their own mark. Im hoping Kaaya is that kind of cat.

No way, he has to pick a school very soon because he has to get the playbook down and plus it's a bad look because then one of the 2 schools will be totally ****ed over this and I dont think he would want to do that to either one

The only thing that will keep him out of Coral Gables is a devastating ruling by the NCAA.

Seeing Coley start to introduce the pistol more as the season goes on makes me want Kaaya here more than ever.

No, you are right, and I didnt really explain that well. Didnt necessarily mean FINISH the season, more like how our season progresses. If we keep winning, vs if we implode. In the case of the latter, I could see it giving him fuel to reconsider. And Remember, he's technically already committed, so its not like he would be "waiting" to make a decision, he would just be ******** us with a late switch.

BUT, didnt his mother also say he would finalize things AFTER his season? That he wasnt going to focus on recruiting until that was done? So technically, they have left the door open for a late switcheroo. I agree he would put himself, AND the other program in a real bad spot, but I dont think its inconceivable. I think as long as we keep winning, and we dont get raped by the NCAA, he should stick.

I took what Ms. Kaaya said has to he's not going to be doing interviews because just look at how huge it was all over the internet and how much interviews people must have wanted. Now this week the staff should be seeing him and I expect him to basically make a decision at least to where he really stands right now and if its a good thing we'll see later but if its bad you'll see info surfacing about other qbs

I dont know......
As the days have gone by, its looking more and more that this kid is gonna be a Cane. He could have shut it down and gone dark, but instead every time he sais anything on social media, its pro Canes. He wants that job in 2015, cause Stacey Coley as a junior plus Waters and Malcolm would make me look like Peyton Manning.

Kid is a Cane in the end but Coley may need to do some more recruiting to fend off UCLA. **** USC.

I really don't think the U has anything to worry about. The kid is a stud so of course he is going to keep getting looks and attention from other schools. The staff will continue to keep him committed and hopefully he'll get squared away and be an EE.

Don't forget Griffin and Langham...possibly Berrios and Dixon

I hear you, but the main point was that Coley as a junior is gonna be like playing NCAA on the freshman setting......

via espn Kaaya: “It’s awesome to get an offer from USC even though I’m committed. I grew up going to all the games and I got kind of crushed when I went to the USC camp my freshman year. I heard a coach in the bathroom say, ‘There’s no future Trojans here.’ That was a long time ago. This means a lot to me and my family.”

This kid has a little cane chip on his shoulders I hope we could hold on to this kid but its gonna be a fight....

There's a light year of time between now and NLOI day. Im sure we'll see plenty of commitment wavering between now and then. Whether we lose Kaaya or not I can say this for sure: For the first time in a long time Im seeing a UM coaching staff that is out-working their competitors. For us to offer and get a commitment from a kid before his two local elite skools got on him speaks volumes to me. That in and of itself is extremely motivational IMO.

If He Dies, He Dies. (with spanish subtitles for our cuban friends)

I used to worry, then we got Golden. IF it goes south, will suck but won't blow, as its likely that we will be stealing someone else's hot girlfriend as a replacement.

I think the key for us holding on to him is how we finish this season.

It's got nothing to do with that. This is all about the relationships he's built at UM and his sense of loyalty to UM and the coaches versus how much he wants to stay close to home. That's all it is, and that's all it will ever be.

People put way too much stock into on the field performance and how it coincides with recruiting. I mean you don't want to suck but wins and losses arent that important. All about how comfortable the kid feels around the staff. It's how Kiffin was able to pull such great classes and SC sucked balls.....

Absolutely correct. The only time record becomes a huge variable is when opposing corches can use it against you (i.e., "Coach _____ is going to get fired. You'll never play for the staff that is recruiting you."). Fans like to get dramatic about this stuff when it's really all about relationships and building them with the recruits.
