Simmons was talking tonight about how 7 programs (MD, Neb., Auburn, UF, Mich, ND, Texas) have $51.35MM in dead money right now.

Anyone have any idea of how much dead money USC is paying out following their collective coaching staff changes over the years? Supposedly Kiffin still gets $3.2MM on top of his Alabama salary, not sure about Sarkisian, Pat Haden, Kevin O'Neil, or Orgeron and other exec level assistants.

Curious as to what type of room USC would have if they wanted to fire Helton in order to bring on Les. He supposedly has a guaranteed 5 year contract in upwards of $3-$3.5MM per year that he signed last November -- maybe USC's lawyer's were smart enough to make it inclusive of last season and call it 5 yrs for fluff.

Whether or not the new Trojan AD wants to follow in Haden's footsteps is another issue, but that all goes back to BOT regardless.

Were Golden and staff's contract liabilities liquidated or is Miami still paying on them?

I thought I read Richt is still being paid by UGA through next season via his buyout claus.

Could have all those details wrong...

Texas has multiple Sugar Daddies,so their dead money is actually on life support.

I think Kiffin's severance ended. Alabama doubled his salary to 1.4M. Kiffin's previous salary was 'low' because he was still being paid by USC.
