USC a better record than UM Despite Severe Penalties

Are you guys really comparing the teams that Pete Carroll left at USC to the teams that Al Golden inherited from Randy Shannon?

It's comparing apples and pinecones.

OH really? Steve Sarkisian took over for Pete Carroll? Lane Kiffin didn't coach there for almost four seasons? News to me.

I didn't know Pete Carroll left the 2nd and 3rd all time passers in school history, 4 nfl running backs; ! being the all-time rusher in school history (Duke committed as a sophomore to RS), 5 nfl wideouts; 1 breaking the all-time single season record and another 6th all-time in rec yards; The all-time leading tightend and another nfl tight end; Multiple all conference olinmen with 2 starting in the nfl as rookies.

Please Golden had talent... He should have lost no more than 10 games total. Stop saying he lacked talent because he took over a team with great production. Lane Kiffin didn't inherit Marqise Lee, Nelson Alghelor, etc. He went out and got those players and Sarkistan is picking up from there.

the point is that under drastic reductions they stayed competitive....and fired coaches who they didn't think were keeping them where they should be. there was no excuse...even though they had a better reason to use one than miami.

They willingly let Lane Kiffin be their head coach for nearly four seasons. Your argument is invalid.

Pat Haden is football guy, Blake James is a douche.

Class Rank from 2006-2013

*USC- 2006 (1), 2007 (2), 2008 (8), 2009 (4), 2010 (1), 2011 (4), 2012 (8), 2013 (13), 2014 (10)

*Miami- 2006 (14), 2007 (19), 2008 (5), 2009 (15), 2010 (16), 2011 (36), 2012 (9), 2013 (20), 2014 (12)

That's an average of 5 for USC and 14 for Miami.. Carrolls last 4 years from 06-09 was far better than Miami's from 06-09.... USC was set for a while with Talent, we sucked... there is no comparison

Matt Barkley was great for USC but what was left once he departed? Rob Woods was good as well. However outside a few players their team was on a decline.

miami has willingly let golden be their coach for 4 seasons. thanks for making my point for me.

usc fired kiffin at the airport after a loss while under punitive scholarship reductions.

miami kisses golden's *** for staying through "the cloud" which never materialized into anything you could quantify.

that's the difference between programs trying to win, and programs that aren't.
