If the BOT is serious about winning, this is who they have to go after.

I think Urban left Ohio State for two reasons.

1.). The Ohio State BOT / president ****ed him off. The way the whole situation this summer went down left some bad blood.


B.). He reached his ceiling at Ohio State. The man is a savage who wants to dominate college football, and he saw that Ohio State had reached its ceiling. They were never going to challenge Alabama on a yearly basis, and Nick Saban is his measuring stick.


I’m not buying the “health issues” angle at all. I think he was fed up with Ohio State, and that’s that.

I think Miami should pursue him hard. He’s the only coach in college football that ticks all the boxes - innovative, savage, great recruiter....and he’s the only coach who could give Saban a serious run for their money.

Urban at Miami would be great for the whole sport of college football. People have to be tired of the Alabama dominance. This is the ticket.

If you want to win, you'd be for bringing Urban in.

I just tend to think the odds of it happening are about 0.00000000000000000001%. But hey, make the call.
 
He was 12-1 this year and they’ve been in the playoffs for years.

Agreed on point 1.

Disagree on point 2. OSU can get equal or better talent then Miami. He did not reach his “ceiling” at a talent level.

For whatever reason Meyer always walks from what seems to be a good situation. Maybe he just does not like to stay in the same place for long. Come on down to Miami man.

Correct, and he has to see that. If he wants to be remembered as the greatest coach to ever live, mentioned in the same breath as Nick Saban, there are only a couple places he can do that - and Notre Dame is not one of them.

He has to come to Miami, FSU, USC, or return to Florida.

He is by far the best choice
Everything else is a distant second
He has fared well v Saban by the way

Urban Meyer did that on the power of his name and coaching skill alone.

Before he got there, ohio state was losing games to Al Golden. Don’t forget.

Yes, I think Ohio State has maxed out, and I think Miami as a program has a higher ceiling. We were alabama before alabama was alabama. A great coach can create a dynasty here.

I think Urban sees himself on the same level as Nick Saban. He needs to go to a place where he can build that kind of a dynasty team.

Ohio State had one bad year and they were on probation. He had no limits there. He quit because he doesn’t want to deal with it.

Not because he’s gonna jump to Miami.
