Urban Meyer May Be Available as early as this week!

I think Texas might be a legit possibility if they decide to fire Sark & get Urby, but that depends on if he’s willing to wait a full season, I don’t think they wanna fire Sark until the end of next year because they’re still paying Herman, but if they think they can get Urby they may just bite the bullet & pull the trigger.

Urby doesn’t strike me as the type to take any mid level jobs, he thinks he’s a God amongst mere mortals, so only a big name premier program would be good enough for him & most of those jobs are already filled.

FSU can't afford Urban. Still paying Taggart, then Norvell has a huge buyout. That + the elite coach salary/staff salary is way out of their range.

Definitely agree on Texas. If Sark doesn't win with Ewers this year their boosters will give Urban a blank check

There was no question that once that kick became public - he was done for.

The kicker himself told the story it’s in the link in one of the earlier posts. Sounds 100% credible and there were witnesses who have to tell the truth if deposed. Urban is ***ked as far as his severance, imo.

Dude didn’t file any contemporaneous complaint. No video. Haven’t seen a single report of witnesses corroborating it. Jags are paying Urban.

You don’t need a video if you have witnesses. And why would witnesses corroborate it now - nobody’s been deposed. I fūcking guarantee you Jacksonville is going to fight this tooth and nail.

If you’re firing someone for cause, you don’t do that until you establish a factual basis for the termination. That would mean corroborating a very belated claim by a former player.

The factual basis has already been established based on credible reports. They can fire him, refuse to pay his severance, and let him sue. Then the burden is on him.

I should say that they have sufficient reason to believe that a factual basis has already been established. Either way, he’s going to have to fight to get a penny from severance.

Khan sounds ****ed. What do you think he’s going to do? Say “here urban have the $60 million - you’re a dumb fūck and you violated your contract but I’m gonna give you the severance anyway.”

I haven’t seen his contract. I’m operating off the belief that all contracts have “morals clauses“ and/or “behavioral clauses”.

That’s really the only thing that counts.

If you’re telling me that urban doesn’t have those clauses in his contract, then that is literally the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. If Kahn allowed this to happe then he’s flat retarded.

I haven’t seen the contract, have you?

Unless you know for a fact that these clauses are either not there or are so watered down so much as to be ineffective, then you know something that apparently nobody else does.

But if these clauses exist, which they should, I still say he’s fūcked. Only way he isn’t, is if he doesn’t have those types of clauses, which would be head explodingly stupid for the employer to have allowed.

Even if FSU could afford Him Meyer doesn't take that job. From BG to OSU, Urban only takes over underachieving, but loaded programs, and takes them to the top. He's never, ever shown an ability to build a program from scratch, you don't have to look any further than His failed Jags tenure.
