Urban Meyer May Be Available as early as this week!

So dumb to fire him. He's not even halfway through his first season. He'll probably fail as a NFL coach but most college coaches flunk the NFL. Still he should be given a chance to see if he can adapt his coaching style.

nah, he actually didnt fly home with the team after their last loss.

thats unprecented in the NFL unless you are getting fired and not even then its standard business.

he has created enough fallout in four weeks for the experiment to be shut down. real quick.

Remind me what it is that Lane Kiffin did. Making snarky comments (about Meyer coincidentally) is the only ncaa "violation" I know of. He received a verbal reprimand for saying Meyer was texting recruits while they were on official visits to Ole Miss.

Big dominoes.... I suspect Notre Dame's Cincinnati loss (and squeaking by FSU) could put the target on Kellys back. If Meyer is fired from J-Ville, he could finally get his dream job (I don't think he wants any cfb job but ND)

I am a big Brian Kelly fan, btw. Few coaches besides David Shaw have had to deal with the academic restrictions in recruiting, yet Kelly has had ND in the playoffs twice.

Agreed. Since when has are NFL coaches expected to be role models.
Belichick literally had an affair with his best friend’s wife, who left the friend and married Belichick.
Lombardi was bi-polar and his family was scared to death of him.
Pinto had *** in a restaurant and paid for the abortion.

But who really gives a ****. These guys are paid to win games. Firing a coach because of this event is just stupid. But the aptly named Jags are just that-Jags. I could care less about Urban or his wife who has chosen to remain with him despite all the indiscretions. But firing him over a moral issue?
