Upon Further Review- Dan Enos

Lance,

I am not sure if you covered this already or not.

How does our OLine fit in with the new offensive scheme?

Does the QB need more time or less time to get the ball out?

Thank you in advance.

ahahahahahahahaha, good bump. Reading these are hilarious. Analytic guys can spin numbers any way they want to prove a point and say things like "the data" says you dont need to run the ball to have a good play action game. The data says you just have to run play action and the d will respect the run. ahahahahahahah. Great stuff

There is no other way to say it other than to say the data suggests that Dan Enos is one of the very best offensive play-callers in all of college football.

"you really see that Enos is a passing game savant and that Coach Diaz just took one of the best OC minds in all of college football and brought him to our program.

This hire is an absolute home run in my review of film and data. Be excited Miami fans. Be excited."

Lance my guy we gotta retool these metrics.

Yup, this one didn't turn out my way.
You said that you anticipated being down on Enos. You mentioned that he is transient even for coaches. You said that he runs a pro KC style. That is all accurate. I didn’t read your review as some glowing review. Most importantly, your analysis is spot on. That’s the value. The conclusion being off is secondary. Who could know he was an ***** and closed minded? Anyway, I enjoy your work. Thank you.

Yup, this one didn't turn out my way.
Was hard to gauge because we didn't know if we were getting Arkansas Enos mixed with some of that Alabama spread. Was hard to look at whereas Lashlee should be a little easier. At least his recent years without Gus

I think its fair to say success over his career has been spotty, but the peaks are what we're hoping for here.

If I were to be inspired to have faith in this hire, its on the basis that most are saying its a home run hire and that he was the envy of many at the top of the SEC whether you are a fan, pundit, coach, etc. Maybe his name value and his perception outmatch his actual output, but the GenPop and Intelligentsia think its a great hire and hold him in high regard...thats got to count for something.

His gross and adjusted output leave a bit to be desired at the macro level and its definitely noted and a concern. Hoping for more of that 2015 Arkansas then anything else.

I have learned that "being held in high regard" is worth negative to my opinion. The fact that most love the Lashlee hire make me want to fade the choice even more.

Trust the numbers. The deeper numbers of Enos were trash...he turned out trash. The deeper numbers on Lashlee are not great...
