Updated Weekend Rotation Thread

This is the ideal scenario. But we know the problem is this years freshman will likely not progress at the rate we'd need. If we had a coach who could develop year over year the middle of our order right now would be something like Jimenez, Cyr, Cuvet, 1-2 of the transfers we got, Carrier then play 1-2 freshman.

Lineup would be young, still a decent amount of K's, but that line up (with assumed development) would be top 25. Pitching would still be an issue. But again I'm thinking that this program in the hands of a recruiter who then develops.

We are getting talented kids. But most fall into the area of the Pareto Principle. Meaning they have put about 20% of their effort to get 80% of their results in life. How do you flip that to 80% of their efforts to get working toward that last 20% of results.
Exactly! This program does not develop anybody! They just put them out there and tell them “to figure it out”…why does every pitcher that leaves this program become much better? Why does every hitter that leaves this program become much better! It’s no secret around college baseball that this program does not develop! Just follow all players that have left and magically they become better!

You’ve got a better shot hitting Lotto then JD benching his best friend‘s son…
Perhaps I'll get in line a Publix and play the lotto!
Rad was on WQAM this morning and was asked about the baseball program. He responded, there is always a lot of base to be played.....no evaluation will be done until the season is over!!!!
Dude, we need to have a new coach in place by Memorial Day....

There is no way they are making a change during the season. I think the plan is to give JD three years - that is what I heard early on, after the UConn series. That being said, the same person who told me that told me at the UM v. Stetson game that if this debacle of a season continues, he can't see away that they allow JD a third year.

Yeah he's one of the captains he's not getting benched unfortunately. He massively overachieved last year especially in conference games, so I knew he was going to come down to earth this year.

Looking like the same three in a new order based on tonight
Assuming Robert is the Sunday guy. How the **** wasn’t that the rotation from the get go? Totally incompetent to think Robert has Friday night stuff. He’s the perfect Sunday or mid week guy on a good staff.

His stuff is mediocre but he throws strikes. Thats the perfect Sunday guy on a bad team,

It’s unbelievable how bad JD is at one he is supposed to be good at. Unless Laz is now making these incompetent decisions

If we are 6-18 in the ACC and limping through the mid-week games there is no way in **** he is coming back. The stands will be empty and the noise will be loud surrounding the program.
On what sound reasoning would you say this program is heading in the right direction?

🙏🙏🙏

If you were considering starting DeRias on a pitch count Sunday because he’s not fully stretched, Hugus made that much easier by putting the bullpen on ice tonight.
