Huge drop off between us and the next coastal team. We have double the 4 stars unc has. Doing less with more but not as bad as Uga!!! They have double the 5 stars Saban has! Insane!!!!

This based on star ratings out of high school. Does not take into account whether recruits coached up after a couple of years

They're only 5 spots lower and their average is still 88.11 compared to our 89.87. It just shows alot of their 3star guys are high 3 star guys. After North Carolina the gap is bigger.

I’d go by average rating versus cumulative numbers. We certainly have the talent to roll to 10+ wins for 2021. That, and what we have coming in for the 2022 recruiting class, and if we land some additional big fish, should mean that Manny’s stocking the cupboards. Now it’s incumbent on Diaz to coach the kids and develop them. We do and it’s lightning in a bottle for the U.

Iowa State and Cincinnati are not even in the top 50 on this list, and they are both ranked in the top 10 heading into this season. Coaching matters. Pass it on.
Luke Fickell was smoked by Al Golden with an Ohio State Team that Urban went undefeated with the very next season.

Gators having 3 times as many 5-stars as us shows that we need to recruit a lot better.

Miami talent should never be behind UiF and FSU.

Still, #12 is an improvement over years past and it shows we’ve going in the right direction

The names change each year, but some schools just recruit a lot of very good football players that the bigs pass on because they don't have ideal size or freakish testing numbers. You get guys with hustle, know their position, and can read the plays or consistently run good routes, catch, etc...... You'll have a solid team. Some of those teams have solid squads each year and do a great job of recruiting to their wants and needs.

I kind of equate it to a lot of S. Florida teams playing these out of state teams in big high school games. They'll out talent some teams, but when they run into a well coached squad with some grinders they're playing, that talent gap is neutralized and they'll lose.

We've had talent for years, but how many football players have we had? We need solid coaching and freakish talent who are football players of we're going to make it back.

Cincy should be good every year by the way. Ohio is a huge football state. They have a ton of grinders that big schools will look over and I was talking about above.
