I don’t hire engineers, I’m in finance. But it’s my understanding that engineers of all stripes are in high demand because we don’t produce enough of them.

Nothing but good wishes to any engineering student out there looking for work - from RPI or anywhere else

Note 1: It was Josh Darrow from WQAM defending Patke. Ex-athletic department staff member. Not on comms team. My bad.
Note 2: Wtf does a "source" have to do with having an opinion? I never claimed sources so don't try to make me out to seem like the few fake insiders on here. I'm not "citing" these things and posting on 247 like Ivins. These are just my thoughts and in my opinion, Manny is absolutely botching this.

So to summarize:
Point 1 - Baker and Patke deserve to be fired.
Point 2 - Everybody and their mother have been talking about this since end of regular season. It's very clear and obvious this is a hot topic. If you don't see that then idk what to tell you.
Point 3 - Manny should have fired them a while ago and I have no clue why he's delaying this, other than he intends to keep them.
Point 4 - We all want them gone. Manny just can't pull the trigger.

So why you so mad?

There are several.

Not sure about civil, though.

Congrats on your degree and good luck in your career.

Engineers make the mechanical, transportation and scientific world go round and make stuff work.

Put some perspective on it. Miami is...no joke... ranked academically below Pepperdine and just above Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute - yes that's a real school, and no, I had never heard of it before.

How are you gonna get big headed when your peers are literally Pepperdine and Rensselaer? People are ******* deluded, man.

Be proud of your school, but don't be a ******* moron either.

false. we need to stop repeating the false narrative about his father's politics' influence on manny. manny hardly grew up with his father. also when his father became a politician Manny was no longer living in MIami and hardly came home. again, a false narrative.

What? So his dad never dispensed nuggets of wisdom when he did spend time with him? What did they do at Thanksgiving - stare at each other and make mean faces?

My dad wasn't around much either but he did occasionally try to give life advice like "dont get married." Diaz could have learned from his dad, "snitches get stitches."

Plus, he's Cuban. We are innately paranoid. Castro could have your phone lines tapped.

secrecy can be very important in hiring. nothing good comes from careless leaks. intentional leaks can be a different matter.

manny has plenty of shortcomings but secrecy isn’t really one of them,
imo

I think maybe more like a foot licker.

There’s a video of him and his wife and somehow it got out of and a scene was actually posted somewhere.

Nothing pornographic, per se, but just some something where was she sticking her feet out the car window and he’s talking semi-dirty to her. I saw it a few years ago it was really weird, and cringeworthy, and funny all at the same time.

I guess he’s one of those guys that the phrase “toe jam“ gives him a hard on.

I don’t remember specifically, I just remember seeing a video with her sticking her feet out of a car window and him saying some weird *** shlt. Maybe I just stopped it there because it was nauseating me. Also I believe at the time he was the size of a New York Macy’s parade float.
