Canes fans have really shown their *** on this hire man. I get it with football and baseball because we are storied programs in both. Basketball has zilch history besides L’s short run.

Even with L’s runs, there was periods of very, very bad basketball. A lot of people overvalued this program. The only coach I wish we would’ve pursued more was Will Wade. We were never going to get the **** up and comer who’s a sitting HC.
Honestly, Lucas was the first hire since Coach L, in any of those sports that actually resembled a halfway decent search. He very well may crash and burn here. But hiring a guy with zero Miami ties was refreshing.
