He was an incredible talent, with a motor like no other DE that I’ve ever seen. He was relentless.

Erickson was spent by the time he left. Not necessarily regarding his ability, but I think the grind got to him.

We didn’t hit a bad spot with Dennis… we hit sanctions after his 2 ‘ships.

IMO, there was a definite turn from the dominant level of Canes ball from 1986 - 1992 that began in 1993 before sanctions hit. I grant you, the **** didn't truly hit the fan until sanctions were issued, but that Frank Costa era just felt different than the dominance before it.
