We've beaten 2 sub .500 teams and Cincinnati. Please tell us more about what we've done the past three weeks.

Exactly, thanks for solidifying my point that UNC isn't good. Let's not get too excited yet. Have we played well lately? **** yes. Have we played teams that would propel us to a ranking? **** no. Double digit loss in our 3 losses.
Nov 15th will be a good barometer of how much we have really progressed this year.
 
We beat teams with a combined record of 13-13. We should be in playoff consideration actually.

We have three loses, 2 UNRANKED opponents.

For all those thinking we have turned the corner and will beat FSU.... Fat Al has NEVER beat a team that finished the season with 8+ wins. There is a reason for that ineptitude, guy coaches scared and not to lose - cannot win big games that way.

First time FSU gets a big play we will immediately return to the soft zone, prevent, rush 3, concede 5 yards per play mode. It"s a shame, our offense should be able to do damage but the D will not stop them when it counts.

I understand why we're not ranked but Why is Duke ranked? Talk about undeserving?

The record of their opponents so far this year is 40-65, if you take out Miami & Georgia Tech it drops down to 27-60, how in g-ds name are they even mentioned in the Top 25?

No three loss-team should be insulted at not being ranked. We will have (and have had) ample opportunity to prove our worth. These things worth themselves out on the field.
 
Duke stinks and will lose at least 1 more game.

Not that I think Miami should be ranked at this point in the season but ECU has the no. 3 ranked offense in the nation. Miami is #44

If Miami wants to be ranked at 6-3, they better be planning on joining the SEC.

We'd be JUST outside the top 10 with our current record.

Oh, and the 8:00 time slot for an unranked team? That's not because of Miami playing.

It's because FSU is playing.

Their defense is REALLY bad.

They survive off of turnovers.

Keep it on the ground and run through them.

Our defense probably needs to force a punt or two

I don't think we can beat the other teams you listed, if they simply play solid football.

I'd give us the same punchers chance we have against FSU against Mississippi State and Oregon.

Agreed.

But if we were 6-3 in the SEC, we'd still be in the playoff race. As opposed to 8-1 and eliminated.

Not that it matters. Just a shot at the SEC bias is all. Cool your jets.

Not a fan of 6-3...Im a fan of a team who happens to be 6-3. Lets be honest, this season is a failure. Only way to make the bad taste go away is to beat our arch rivals, ruin their NC hopes, and win out. My bar is set at Championship level...anything less is unacceptable. Go Canes!
