Howard, Jimmy, Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Sapp, Reggie Wayne, Cortez Kennedy, Gore, and a current player, and possibly others:

- eventually should include the AD and Head Coach
- act almost like the college football playoff committee and meet quarterly to discuss program development
- in absence of a coach or AD should be leaned upon to use their network to create coaching lists and hirings

Unique program and place that needs a unique approach. These guys will never be coaches here but can influence progress and change

Negative. You don't need a council or committee or any of that nonsense. You need a president who will allocate resources, an AD who can fund raise, sell, and empower a top coach, and talented coach with a budget for staff and recruiting.

A skilled AD will identify and hire the appropriate person.

That's never happened here so you are proposing reinventing the wheel

Without the first two, any committee would have no power and would be a mere bureaucratic waste of time IMO. From what I've seen of effective governance, you need a leader with a vision and subordinates with the skill sets to execute. A large group pontificating never solved much in my experience. 99% of success is in execution IMO.

What do you think this is? Fsu or Alabama? Love the idea, but try convincing the right people. In other words, it involves to much common sense to approach this ******* jack prize of an administration about. It would actually mean putting an effort into the football program.

Too much common sense goin' on here.

We need some dysfunction. How about we involve a Ponzi schemer who can donate thousands of dollars to individual members of the Unversity Administration?

This is Miami, after all.

Yeah, lets add more layers to the already overburdened decision making system and bureaucracy at the Hect.

******* brilliant.
