I was a classic jersey purist / truther for many years. I thought all the Nike designs were trash, and adidas was worse. Was so grateful to be back in classic unis. Until I saw the light… those 01 jerseys should be standard going forward. ******* chefs kiss. We haven’t looked that much like ‘Miami’ since 01

When we started wearing that 2000 jersey with the funky stripes I despised it.

I loved the classic 80's and 90's jersey look. We stayed with it for what 4 years? It is nostalgic to bring it back for a game, but that jersey does NOT look better than our classic jersey look. Thank goodness Mark Richt brough the classic jersey back. It looks so clean.

I think it was 2016 when he brought it back.

Big day tomorrow. No, I have no idea what uniform combo we're wearing against North Carolina.

But after what we saw last Saturday, I genuinely don't understand how we can ever go back to anything else.

And I'm done calling them the 2001 throwbacks. They're not throwbacks. Those are OUR jerseys. That's Miami Hurricanes football. That's our identity, our tradition, our history.

Every Hurricane on this roster and every Hurricane who puts on that uniform moving forward should be wearing those jerseys.

They should never be throwbacks again. They should be permanent. Period.View attachment 378157

Nike should redesign these and make em our permanent unis, usher in a new era of Hurricane dominance. We can break still break out the classic look for certain games..

I don't understand how anyone can like the 2001's better than our classic uniforms. The armband on our classics is unmatched, the font is better, and all the curly piping on the 01's is gross. I expect to be negged into Bolivia

Only critique of the 2001 throwback jerseys is the numbers being sewn on.

They appeared better back in 2001 when they were painted on imo.
