Uni Combo for FAMU

I think orange over white looks mid. Prefer green over white.

I just wish we’d go back to the black cleats. I’ve never been a fan of the white look.
They’ve been wearing black cleats for the last three or four seasons at least. I think they only wore the white cleats to complete the “whiteout” against Florida.

Nike had better modern day options imo and their quality just feels better. Pause
Adidas always felt like it was made by wish
Adidas merch is garbage outside of those dri fit polo shirts, so I get what you're saying. It's tough for me to trash Adidas when they threw a bag at us during our down years, though. Nike didn't even try to retain us.

Ok, I was worried that we were going to be wearing white shoes every week and not just for the UF game because it’s showing white shoes again with the all orange uni.

Miami’s 12 year deal with Adidas expires June 30, 2027. Time flies. I have to imagine there is a lengthy amount of advance notice (one season?) to exit, possible auto-renewal terms, etc. It’ll be very interesting to see what happens, particularly if we are kicking äss on the field and in high demand for merch, which I suspect will be the case. A return to Nike could well be in store in nary a few years 🙏🏼.

My second favorite combo after green on green for home. Of course storm troopers is favorite for away!

We win this year, we cut off adidas a year early, and we start with Jordan in 2026-27 when the new TV contract starts and we are in the Big 10.

I don’t follow this closely enough, but I thought there was some issue with Jordan brand being tied to multiple schools in one state. Wouldn’t UiF block this? Just wondering. I’d be more than fine with Jordan or traditional Nike.

Initially, Jordan was going with one school per conference. Realignment has changed that.

Given the long history with Nike and the connection to SoFla and LatAm, I'd imagine that we will be a good fit with Jordan.

Nope. Adidas paid us double the contract that Nike was paying at the time and Nike chose not match the offer.

You are so full of ****.

Yes, the NEW contract that adidas offered paid double the OLD Nike contract was paying. SHOCKING. Wow, this is real ground-breaking **** right here...

And, yes, Nike did not offer the adidas "high-guarantee/low-royalty" offer. Nike offered its own "low-guarantee/high-royalty" contract, due to the bull**** games Beta Blake had been playing behind the scenes (like converting the equipment allowances into cash payments, and then whining about how we didn't have new equipment).

"Nike chose not to match the offer". Hilarious. We have some of the most business-ignorant posters I've ever seen.

Miami was the FIRST IN THE COUNTRY All-Nike school. We should have remained with Nike. Had we taken the high-royalty deal, right now we would be making MORE money, in the "Fanatics Era" of sports merchandise.

But, yeah, Beta Blake wanted to build his own legacy. And lie to the Miami fanbase about what really happened.
