Talent wise, they were thin. Heart wise, they were not.I don't think the 1997 Canes were any worse than this year's squad. Sad to say, but I think it's true.

Just wondering are we still considered a P5 school? Asking for a friend.Pitt's average margin of victory vs p5 schools is 3 1/2 points.
Their margin of victory vs. Youngstown St, Ohio, and Delaware is 6 1/2 points.
They average less ppg vs p5 than GT.
It's going to be close, like all of our games, like all of their games.
If you don't think so, don't reply, just lay the 5 1/2.
Agree. This roster is way more talented than the 97 squad for sure. The sad indictment on this team is I dont think they are any better even with the talent disparity. If UVA doesnt turn the ball over and sh-t the bed in the red zone over and over and that CMU receiver didnt drop a dozen balls, we are literally looking at a team with one win over bethune. It's the worst Miami product I've ever seen.Talent wise, they were thin. Heart wise, they were not.
Yep. It's why I laughed when Diaz said we were a few plays from being undefeated. I said we were fewer plays from being 1-6.Agree. This roster is way more talented than the 97 squad for sure. Wtf are you talking about? I'm not *****ing or complaining in any way. I'm stating what I believe to be a fact: this years miami team is as bad if not worse than the previously worst miami team I had personally ever watched (1997).LMAO imagine menstruating this heavily.
Liberal pansies and right wing kooks.this placeis infested with liberals
These kids only want to play when it’s a nationally televised game.
I was thinking...some kids sign with Miami just bc it’s Miami and that comes with a certain type of lifestyle. They don’t really care if they win or not. I’m starting to think we have some coaches with that mindset too. Get paid guaranteed millions while living the Miami life. Winning comes second. One of our greatest gifts in recruiting coaches or players is also a curse.
I have a better Chance of winning the Lottery this Coming SaturdayThese kids have been home too long favored too much. Get on the road and face adversity. Might be this team wakes up and starts to prove something.

They aren’t asleep. Why does everyone think this is just a bad dream and something will snap them awake? We have been asleep for 15 years then? This is who we are, we are wide awake. These kids have been home too long favored too much. Get on the road and face adversity. Might be this team wakes up and starts to prove something.
Which is exactly my point. The 1997 team was in shambles roster wise due to sanctions. Yet the performance on the game day field wasn't any worse than what we are seeing week in and week out this season. We almost lost to CMU at home as 30.5 favorites, bud. We just got beat at home by the worst team in P5. We were down 0-28 to a hokie team that **** near lost to furman, struggled vs old dominion and got blown out by 30+ by duke at their own house. The 1997 team lost to FSU 47-0 and was in the midst of crippling NCAA sanctions. I'm mad at myself for even responding to this nonsense. The crying has reached unparalleled levels here.

When your best win of the year is a double OT number against a 4 win BC team that won a total of 4 games, and, lost to the likes of Cincinnati and Temple (we're talking 90's temple)...that's pretty bad.
Our other wins that year were Baylor (2 wins), previously mentioned bad Temple (3 wins), Arkansas State (2 wins), and Rutgers (0 wins).
So the grand total of number of wins the 5 opponents we beat that year was...11.
'97 team was worse. Not even close.
