Undefeated In The Coastal

This is going to be a great story this year. From almost getting the death penalty to sweeping our coastal foes for the 1st time. No more Ebron to worry about or Logan Thomas. GT's QB transferred out and we play Duke at home. If you look on paper, our talent is way beyond anyone in this division. As far as I'm concerned, its a 3 game season with FSU, Nebraska, and Louisville. Louisville will be a revenge game for us and we are gonna take it to them kinda like we did with Washington back in 2000. FSU will have all sorts of pressure on them if they walk into sunlife undefeated....we are finally gonna shut Jimbo's mouth for once. With our talent on D now, I expect to hold all coastal opponents to single digits. Who's with me? #Renewed

We finally have real leaders on the team that are not only talented but experience. Duke, the wr's, DP, and dbs and the returning dl will not have it!!! they are hungry as ****.

For those that consistently talk about it was Temple, the NFL scouting executives laugh at you all. How many players from those temple teams are in the league, making an impact!!! it was temple for crying out loud. I bet Highsmith beat his wife, being funny here, ever thing AJ was on the field. Only saving grace, is they gave Al some leeway knowing the kids behind them were not ready, in some cases mentally, in some physically, in some both! We now have a veteran team with the best players being the veterans, not like years gone bye!!!

so now suddenly losses in the ACC don't count- only losses to other coastal division teams?

Honestly, none of Golden's losses should count up until this point. This is the first year you can really judge him.

I think we can win the Coastals

We should have won it last year. Here's an apt metaphor, you can have the fastest car, but if the driver sucks you won't win the race. We have the horses, but we don't have Ben Hur.

Maybe Golden can put it together this year, I hope so. But if past performance is any indicator of future performance I see no reason for any confidence. The minimum this season should be a Coastal championship, we should beat every team in the Coastal this year.

Winning the Coastal = bar set too low.

Winning the Coastal gives a chance to win the ACC, which gives us a chance to be in the playoff. One step at a time, friend.

No kidding. However, going "oh yay" over winning the coastal is not Canes enough for me. When it's a given every year, when we stomp our way through it each season en route to NC contention, then we're right in the head. That's what I mean. That's when for real, "we're back". Otherwise we're a modern day version of a 90's era Michigan team dreaming of one day going to the great nirvana in the sky, the Rose Bowl - and life is great....meanwhile those 90's Canes teams were curb stomping anyone who dared step in front of us.

The Coastal should be a **** we scrape off our shoes. Holy crap.

No more Ebron to worry about or Logan Thomas.

Based on how we failed to account for Ebron and Thomas, it doesn't seem like we were ever worried about them.

Those two guys were high NFL draft picks for a reason. They were excellent players who took advantage of Shannon's left overs. New era starts this year.
