The college game/talent acquisition is a totally different animal than the NFL and Belicheck seems like the last person on earth that would adapt to that style. He would have been better off taking a DC gig.

I will never let go of the NCAA ending the Cam Newton investigation in a few weeks because "he didn't know" his dad was shopping him to the highest bidder for $180K. No penalty, no follow up. Meanwhile Dez Bryant sat out most (all?) of the season because Deion took him out to lunch as a mentor.

And the worst part about it (for Tarheel fans) is, UNC is low-key a Goldmine school if ran correctly.

They have plenty of money available for NIL. They have a strong backing with the Jordan brand. And sit in a hotbed for really good NFL caliber talent in the Carolinas-Georgia-VA-Tennesse region.

All they would need to do is stop hiring geezers with one foot in the retirement home & they could turn that program around in a couple years.

Their administration is as stupid as can be.
