UNC Dik riders ... show yourselves!

People aren’t saying UNC is great. People are saying they can beat US. Once Manny proves he can beat ANY of his former bosses, this tune may change.

All y’all beating your chests in this thread better hope we don’t lose to UNC. Lol Football is a game of matchups and it’s hard to win at VT at night.

All I know is this: UNC has Miami’s number, no matter how bad they are. I repeat: UNC has Miami’s number, and they have flat out smashed and embarrassed us on National TV on multiple occasions.

In, fact, they almost beat us with an 4th string QB when they were 1-7 in 2017 - and we were undefeated. We were a miracle fumble away from losing.

Don’t forget, we’ve lost 4 out of the last 6 vs UNC ( 2015, 2016, 2019, 2020) and Manny Díaz has lost to UNC three times in 5 Years. 2016, 2019, 2020

It's one thing to say that UNC can beat us. Of course they can. And NCSt can beat us too. Doesn't mean that either are a good team.

The Mack Brown honeymoon will crash and burn this season and he will get pushed out by end of next season.

I hope we match up that good against them. Their OL looked like crap last night and it's the same one that allowed them to run on us for 509 plus or whatever the **** it was.

Gotta give VT some credit as well, at least those 11 on defense. Their corners were like glue and the DL was getting pressure with four.

Hope Manny can figure out what to do minus two DE's better than anything VT had. Corners will need to be better than last year. DT's can we borrow theirs?

Ultimately, can Manny finally stop Daddy Mack? Early season matchups are a crap shoot a lot of times.

You almost seem hopeful that Miami loses to UNC just so you can beat your chest about it. Actually, looking at your avatar, you definitely seem hopeful about that.

I don't care about what happened in the past, and I hope the players/coaches don't either. Otherwise, Miami would have never managed to beat Florida State because they went on that winning streak. UNC needs to prove they're for real just as bad as Miami does, regardless of what happened last season. Because it's LAST season.

Step into reality. They’ve beaten us 4 out of 6, beaten us back to back twice in that duration, lost once to a true freshman QB (S. Howell), and two of those losses were epic beat downs on National TV (almost dropped 60 on us twice). See below

59-21 in 2015 (epic beat down in National TV)
23-20 in 2016
28-25 in 2019 (Lost to true freshman, Sam Howell)
62-26 in 2020 (epic beat down in National TV)

Any thoughts?

I’ve understood the hype around this kid.

yeah he’s got some nice stats.

and he pushes the ball down field.

But nothing he does really flashes to me.

I don’t see a playmaker at all.!

How dare you come up in here spitting all your common sense and factual data I agree with. Did you not see the obvious thread title? Clearly UNC is now an automatic W on the chart. My peeps tell me Manny has already spoken to Doo Doo Brown about letting the heels forfeit. It's people like you who try keeping folks grounded in reality, that are ruining the board.
 
It's one game. Doesn't mean much of anything when Miami plays UNC and VT later in the season.

All this game showed is UNC misses their star players from a year ago. Missed Corrales last night and Howell tried to do too much. From the VT side, great home atmosphere. Lane Stadium was rocking and it was great for the ACC to showcase it especially when you have pathetic Duke losing to Charlotte!!

those DTs got a lot of quick pressure up the middle and knocked 7 off his rhythm. You mentioned those corners too. I mean there was zero space on most of the balls thrown. It was quite impressive
 
Like it or not UNCwill be ready to play when we show up to Chapel Hill.

They may not be what allot of folks on here made them out to be, but I expect a fight for everything we get.
