UNC Athletics shuts down

OK? Because 24 hours will do anything? If departments aren't ready and willing to deal with a viral outbreak that will make some sick then quit bs'ing and pack it in. Tired of this wishy-washy BS, either accept some of you will get sick, have a plan to treat and move on or surrender.

My thoughts exactly. What do they think is going to change by 5 o'clock tomorrow? This is going to be a season long battle with covid. There are going to be times this season where players have to sit due to testing positive. Its unavoidable. We just have to be prepared for the next man up, and keep King in one of those bubble boy suits.

Yeah, they're scared of catching that beating they have coming. I can't believe I have to say I'm tired of the corstal NC schools. Fuuuck Miami better get it together and put our division on lock down.
 
are yoy guys that dumb to think they are shutting down for a day to try and lower cases? they are shuttting down to come up with a plan of action or a withdraw from fall sports whatever the president thinks helps
 
Doubt they open up in 24hrs. A lot of these non urban areas are starting to get hit after months of denial. NC state is getting clusters on campus as well.

Or they're shutting down to test all their athletes just like Notre Dame did for the football team today did amid their canceling of practice. Pretty sure that just over 24 hour halt by UNC isn't arbitrary. The football team there tests once per week and I think they've done it on Monday up until this point. They were gonna switch to Wednesday/Thursday during the season. You halt all athletic activity and then test your athletes to see where you stand after students came back and outbreaks happened.

Heard ND shut down football practices as well. Starting with just one day, but may be extended.

Every campus is gonna have cases. The administrators knew this. Get those tuition checks and campus housing checks because they couldn't survive otherwise then send all the undergrads home. Gonna be the move for almost everyone who decided to have in person instruction. Stanford at least told undergrads to stay away before they got on campus for fall.
