#9 all time speaks tons of the kind of players we have had @ the U; specially since the list goes back to 1924 when we did not have a program and of course the dark ages for the last 15 years.
Great to notice we double the Turds all Americans 16 to 8 ( Moar tears!!!!! ) and ahead of The Holes by one.
Let's go CANES!

The wildest thing to me is that this poll goes back to 1924 and the University of Miami didn't even EXIST until 1926.
Miami is the youngest Power 5 school. The only other 2 power five conference universities founded after 1900 are UCLA (1919) and Texas Tech (1923).
And of the 130 Division 1 football programs, only 16 schools (2 AAC, 6 Conference USA, 3 Mountain West, 4 Sun Belt, 1 Independent) were founded after Miami.
The fact that Miami's football program is as prestigious as it is, when most Division 1 football programs are older than the University of Miami itself, is unbelievable.
Then add in that most of the football program's success has come in the last 40 years and it's an incomparable amount of success in such a short period of time.
Miami is up against schools that have been building foundations, resources, alumni networks etc. since the 1800s, some since the 1700s. Many of those schools with state funding along the way.
For a small young private school to field a football program that is: #9 in Unanimous All-Americans, #8 in weeks as AP number 1 ranked team, #6 in National Championships, #11 in NFL Draft Picks, #5 in NFL 1st Round Draft Picks & #5 in NFL Hall of Famers
......that's just INSANE.
