It will be imperative to find a replacement for him next year.

In each game this year, at least once, I've seen a guy on the other side making "business decisions" when encountering Marquez.

I don't blame'em

The capabilities he brings when on the field are one of the reasons Miami has rediscovered an actual run game.

He is a very valuable piece to the '16 Canes O attack.

Ive said before, I think there is a chance Richt starts a FB mini-renaisance with other teams in the next few years copying the "Miami FB" concept.

Its all about exploiting today's capabilities gaps, and Richts FB concept is surely doing so.

x2 big test as ACC regular season starts: 1) can Williams be a difference maker (run game enabler and pass blocker) against big boy Ds; and 2) can the OL consistently seal off the backside pursuit so that the RB can take advantage of the lanes Williams helps.to open? Not convinced after several breakdowns against App St, but Searles will get the big boys he wants in Y2-4.

Could you imagine a roadgrader like Williams on the '01 team?

I do not follow the recruiting scene one iota...I know a few on here do...

Is there any HS senior Mastodon that could be a scholly candidate for the '17 Class? Maybe a convertible DE type or monster TE who outgrows the position?

Against App Store, how many of our great plays came out of the I-formation where Marquez laid someone out and paved the way?

I love the hype he's getting and he definitely has some value, but I'd be interested to know what our offensive numbers were with him in and not in.

And the Walton 80 yarder doesn't count because Walton did that all on his own. He was stoned by a free-runner at the LOS, and muscled through him on his own.

2017 FB Tory Carter from Lee County, GA who is currently committed to LSU fits this bill to a tee, hopefully Miami makes a late run at flipping him when LSU's season implodes.

he's got a mean streak, in the app st game on that 3rd and 1 later in the game even though it wasnt converted i loved the way he drove his man in to the turf after the whistle.

He's a grown *** man. Nobody on our schedule is stopping him full speed clearing a path for our backs

I want to see him get the ball in goal line against F$U.
Bowden and Richt always seem to score on us on plays like that.
It is time for payback.

BJ Dean is the one that comes immediately to my brain lol

The coaches found him at Mars Hill just a few months ago.

I'm confident they can find someone for next year's class, too - they'll have far more time to find one.

I'm looking forward to Williams laying a lot more wood this year, though.

He's a big and strong FB, for sure....

There are ****loads of 5'11"-ish weight room monsters out there who aren't good enough to be tailbacks and could physically fit the bill. Just have to find the psychos out of that bunch and land one.

Paranos went from DT's to FB's?

That's definitely what's happening here...his expertise was undiscovered 2 gappers and now that coach kool is running the show it is no longer relevant, had to switch to the offensive equivalent: the 270 lb fullback.

Sat next to his girlfriend from Mars Hill at the game. Said he was a sweetheart off the field, and monster on it.
