UM Wins 21-16 - Post Game Plus/Minus:

A whole lot of people owe Donofrio and Golden an apology. Blind m'fers on here last year completely ignored the fact that Donofrio was working w/ no experienced talent whatsoever, especially on the DL. He was damned if he did and damned if we didn't. As you can see, w/ some experienced talent he's not afraid to bring creative blitzes from all sides.

What that defense did today was nothing short of spectacular. They were on the field virtually the entire game and still hung in there. Outstanding effort and defensive play calling.

It's pretty obvious who is getting the game ball.

He's done it with solid, but not spectacular, talent in the front four. Some of the guys on the UF front four were sensational. Imagine if we had that guy Easley on our defense. I have been apprehensive about the 3-4 but it worked well enough today.

Who's tryna go troll the Gator board with me!!! All the **** they were talking. ALL the **** I've had to hear. ALL the "Miami doesn't stand a chance" "I'm not worried about playing Miami" BS I've had to hear since this game was announced. It's time for an entire day of payback.

Dallas Crawford:" it was physical out there but not as physical as practice. Coach Golden makes practice tougher than the game."

Tokengator and IHATETHISPLACE get the **** off these boards no more trolling anymore. It's great to be a miami hurricane!

Anybody with a brain could see that.....unfortunately about 85% of the board couldn't.

-we back
-D really impressive
- UTough making a difference. We didn't get worn down despite being on the field 40 mins.
- Turnovers. They're more than just delicious
- golden. He just gets it.
- huge plus for recruiting.
- Dan is in fact ColePens

Minus
- Run blocking. Interior eaten up.
- Morris kinda shaky still

Truly a wonderful BDay.

Woo hoo

In partial defense of the OL, they were facing some very beastly defensive players, I thought.

Anybody talk sh** about Coach D again, I'm Fuc**** them up, lol!

I was a lone voice in a sea of assh0les last year trying to tell everyone that Coach D knows what the fck he is doing but that NO ONE IN FOOTBALL was going to do anything with that personnel/experience we were working with last year.

Picksix and I were right there with you Chise.

Our conditioning on D was HUGE in this game. A lot of teams have talent. A lot of teams have depth. I doubt very many teams combine the two and are as well conditioned as this team is. UF thought they'd wear us out eventually and pull it out at the end like they did most of last year but today they ran into a team built strong enough to stand up to the pounding and strain. Couldn't be prouder of this team and, especially, the D. We seem to have truly taken the next step both mentally and physically..

mark that down as the official moment of 'we back'

No minus after this. Please. Just enjoy this incredible moment without nitpicking everything to death. At the very least, take 24 hours before you break out your chemistry sets and start hyper-criticizing the performance.

'Chise, my friend, this is probably the best post you've had to date. I always love reading what you have to say about our 'Canes, mostly because you take such a strong anti-******ry stance, but this takes the cake for me.

You're 100% correct. This is truly a special moment in recent 'Canes history, and we really need to savor it without looking back on the bad moments, like too many 'Canes fans have the tendency to do. Let's just ride the wave right now, because I think this was our biggest win in a decade, and we need to appreciate how great it really was.

Nothing wrong with Coley as an OC or Morris. What you saw today was the effects of UM not being able to close on talented WR's. All UF did was play press man to man and load up the box to stuff the run as they did not respect our WR's

When you look at our WR's who can you really depend on to beat press man to man when the defense has real athletes?

This game shows hows badly it hurt not to close on players likw

Amari Cooper
Diggs
Sammy Watkins

Players like them will beat man to man.

Miami still has work to do but Great Start congrats to Al Golden

This is reminiscent of the old days, when our defense won games. I can't even remember how long it has been since we had a dominant defense that was physically dominant and unbelievably well-conditioned.

I apologize to Mark D'Nofrio. I am not too big to admit that I was shortsighted and his defense has arrived. My compliments to Coach D. Maybe him being in the booth, maybe depth, maybe condition, probably all of the above. Either way, hats off to him and the D.
