UM vs Pitt

Pitt is an interesting team. They're banged up and don't have a ton of size, but they ultimately have one dynamic player (Patterson) and very tough man-to-man defense which could make all of the difference in the world. Though they average 75 points per game, they tend to play slow and get cold from the field - in three of their four losses, they scored 43, 45, and 54 points. I certainly think that we can keep it close, but who will score for us when we need it?

Brown starts on the bench due to illness, but is expected to play early and often. Reed gets the start.

Hanging tough so far, up 15-11 at the under 12 with Lecomte going to the line. Higher scoring than some would expect - officials calling it tight (each team has 4 fouls already) and both teams play tough D, leading to some turnovers and free points. We've broken out a bit of the scramble/press, Pitt seems unprepared - we've only done it twice, but it has thrown them out of their rhythm. Adams leads us with 6 points because he is driving.

The rare "scoreless first four minutes of the half" trick. Still 29-28, the halftime score, at the under 16. Need to hit from the line, and now both teams are shooting below 35 percent from the field.

If this team had an 18point a night guy we would be a top 6 acc team with this defense.

One bad call. The foul on the missed three was fine, there was still time left on the clock.

More importantly, we're garbage from the line. Adams and Brown both missed two after getting fouled and we're 9 of 19 in what is a 2-point game.
