As an LA resident I'm pretty excited to see the Canes coming out to the West Coast. Any West Coast Canes planning on attending? Anyone making plans to travel to Berkley? Listening to some USC fans talk about how they are going to miss going to Berkley to mollywop the Bears kinda got me interested in what it will be like up there. Certainly not a hostile environment for visiting fans, but should be unique. Canes need to avenge that 2008 Emerald Bowl...

Anyone interested in a tailgate or CIS meet-up party that weekend?

What's Yosemite NP like in early October?
I think this will probably end up a great time to visit. Not going to be blistering hot anymore like it is in Summer. Won't have a lot of tourists as that is usually May-Sept. All the roads/trails will certainly be open. Will probably be a little cold, and possible some snow. But idk given how hot its been lately. Maybe some wildfire/controlled burn (and thus smoke) risk. Downside is the waterfalls will not likely be very impressive like they are in May/June... and bears lol.

I think going to Yosemite is a great call if you're already making the trip to this game.

I'm probably going. Think my nephew has a bye that week too, so will try to take him to his first college football game.

I’m coming in from the OC for the game. From what I’ve read, Cane pre game events will take place on the Rugby Field just behind the stadium and at International House very close to the stadium. Both are great venues.

I’m waiting to buy my tickets until I learn what sections will be designated for Cane fans. I don’t want to be the only ******* in Orange stranded among the Blue and Gold.

P.S. Growing up in the Bay Area, I’ve probably been to 20 games at Cal’s Memorial Stadium. It has no parking whatsoever. But, it has a top position on the beautiful campus. Old School bowl shaped stadium from the 1920’s. I like the Golden Bears. Just not on October 6!

It's a very open stadium, so you should be able to smoke!
