I am starting to think we have to reach acc title game to make playoff but who knows. We will need luck in both capacities to make acc championship or playoff. Disappointing how we did this to ourselves losing to Louisville and smu.

OR if they would've called the OBVIOUS hold on Mrsidor on 4th-11 OR any other blatant holds that kept VT out long down in distance all game. We could have had several more drives if the reference had not swallowed their workflow game regarding our defense line.

I'm confused why I'm included because I'm in full agreement with you. My response was in opposition to the moping. I'm saying the same thing you are.

I mean what SHOULD happen is if USC beat Oregon, we SHOULD rank ahead of both.

And it Utah/BYU drop one game we are automatically ranked top like 10-11. And from there we are within a sport or two of ND so could jump them.

AND then if Pitt can beat GTech and SMU wins the ACC (this is all assuming we lose tiebreakers), then I think we should absolutely be ranked like 8th or 9th, and it should go Us - ND - USC - Oregon - BYU... but the question is if Bama would jump ahead of us and ND or still stay behind ND or not....

Stop blaming everyone else but Miami. We are what we are. Never leave it in the hands of the officials.

VT sucked but we needed late style points and it wasn’t all on the officials — as usual.

honestly don't care if we are out, I would like to be in, but in all honestly in spite of the bias and in spite of the us against the world. We put ourselves in the position NOT to be in. The SMU and the Louisville games were both very winnable games, even in spite of the bull**** calls. Like JJ said, don't put it in the refs hands. We have to play ball like we have to win in spite of the calls, and not lose because of them. We have to get to a point were we beat inferior teams into obvillion.
We absolutely controlled not having it in others hands, for that, we can blame no one other than ourselves.
The ACC thing though, that is outside of it. We benefit nothing by playing in the ACC. Nothing. They support us as if we are the least valuable thing in their league and to them. In reality, I think our brand is bigger than FSU, Clemson. I believe UNC and Duke are no longer as relevant in Basketball, and we hold our own.
I honestly think that UM is the biggest and most valuable brand in the ACC. It absolutely is not treated as if it is in the top half. We need an exit, especially if there is a formation of the two power conferences, exit ACC first and then think about it. I would sign a deal as an independent like ND with NBC and have them have a complementary deal with NBC could showcase UM and ND on their network. That would be very good for the UM brand.

Just move to a conference with competent officiating ( insert safety against clemson) please. I know we do things to ourselves but so do other teams. The bias against us is blatant and obvious
