Defense is great but the open field tackling is a weakness. They get away with it normally because they're so good at swarming.

Techs defense sucks but man the calls have been great. Dawson would have ran up the gut 4 times in a row earlier in the year.

Something changed. Either Mario got out of the decision making or the really did listen to fans and media this is wild

I think its both, the fans werent calling for anything crazy. What we were doing was absolutely stupid, running up middle in 11 man boxes was a different type of hubris, it was absolutely stupid. I think Dawson pressers were more his frustration because he had to answer for a offense that wasnt his. He even said "I just run whatever Mirabal wants"

Mario openly stated he wanted the oline to be "playmakers", the opening game gave a false bravado where they thought they could just run in straight line to playoffs no matter if the other defense knew. It back fired.
