That sacks allowed number for them is interesting. If we get them in 3rd and long a lot we should be good. Their qb wants to run and probably sucks in the pocket

Is this a ghost post?

Who knows how this season plays out. We need someone to expose any legit issue we may have...

But It just feels like the one certainty is that if you are one dimensional offensively to the extreme that is not going to bode well for you vs this defense. Now maybe their qb catches a heater but really he is just a 4-5 yards per run and short passes. So they move fast but its not like your DB and LBs are chasing WR's downfield all game.

If they both play to form that looks like a much bigger canes margin than 16.5

Its going to come down to whether or not we can stop the run (we can) and whether or not they can stop the pass (they can't).

They don't want a shootout. They want to limit our possessions. I think they're going to try to run as much time off the clock as possible, while doing everything they possibly can to limit the deep ball. Its their only hope.

They're gonna dare us to run while giving Cam free yards underneath. But I won't be surprised if they get a pick in the first quarter before we adjust.

That's their plan. Chew the clock. Limit the deep ball. Pray for turnovers. Repeat.

They aren't beating us. But don't be surprised if it ends up lower scoring and closer than we'd like.

What jumps out is UM passing efficiency 3rd, USF's D 84th... Cam going to be slinging it around the yard.

If you look at only their 2 games vs FBS teams (Bama and Southern Miss) they are ranked 110th in QB passer rating allowed.

Those 2 teams completed almost 60% of their passes for 10.0 yards per attempt, 4 TDs and only 1 INT.

Southern Miss's QB just threw for 397 yards on them on only 33 attempts.

Ward is going to be an even bigger favorite to win the Heisman after Saturday night, because he's going to absolutely shred their defense and everyone in the country will be watching (ESPN, night game).

Two alums will be on the Bulls sideline this Saturday

Demarcus Van Dyke corner back coach
Kevin Patrick defensive line coach

Go Canes!

Agree with your analysis. If we exercise patience in the early going, we have the personnel to beat them in the short passing game as well.

Yeah I watched some highlights from their game against Bama, and its just like you said. Their QB is a good runner but when forced to drop back and pass he cant do it. If we stop the run we win big.
