UM v ND

ngl I’ve been one Mario’s biggest defenders. But that decision to take the ball out Becks hands and lean on a shaky kicker hit a near career long did not have me feeling great.

He nailed it however and it worked out perfectly.

Also glad we won as were the better team imo tonight. ND in the playoffs in a neutral field with Carr having more experience would be a tough out tho

Never trailed, had the game in hand for most of the night, should have finished them off when they were reeling. Mario was more aggressive last year, he needs to recapture that arrogance.

I don't know if I'm ready to give him some grace, but here's three "potential" reasons they called it the way they did.

1. They trust their OL and can lean on it.

2. They were playing what many would say is the best secondary in the country. They're at least in the conversation, but I feel OSU and LSU are right there with them.

3. WR'e, we're still not where we want to be and they don't trust them yet.

Trying to see it from his eyes.

Great win. But nothing like it should have been. UM had ND by the throat and let them go. That's the story of the last 20 years. Where were the UM TEs? Conservative running plays when the game could have been sealed in the late 3rd or early 4th. What was the longest passing play?

On the other hand, no turnovers. Few negative plays. Defense was superb. Saw flashes of top athleticism and elite play by skill players on offense. Just got to let them loose. Let them embarrass other teams. Mario doesn't seem capable of capitalizing on elite talent. He wins enough to keep his job, but not enough to win a Natty.

Mario again almost lost us a game by coaching hesitantly

Why run there on 3rd and 2? ND has 1 time out, they were going to call it but a short pass and a first down means ND does not get the ball again and you kick the fg with basically no time remaining

Not sure what this team is, its not great and can still lose 4 games and might have trouble scoring a lot of points but ill take the W

I didn't realize **** had frozen over. Just heard Trevor Matich say that Miami was one of the best teams in the country. Dude has always hated us.

Thats probably the best defense we play all year. We will be fine on offense. But the defense still has issues. They looked better than last year but we let a true freshman lead them back.

We will improve. We are a national championship threat.

Biggest advantage of any unit ended up their DBs versus our WR. Just outclassed & out-experienced.

I don’t mind running the balls. I mind shotgun draw/dive. Get creative. Make them defend the possibility of running outside or misdirection. Just amateur.

Don’t kill me but now that the fight is over….. I think Carr gone be ight
