Where's everyone tailgating at? We just got some parking passes at a lot about a mile away on 527 West Pine Street

Any info on the lot you got passes for ? My group is still undecided, we may just party by the pool at the big airbnb we have and then uber to the stadium an hour before kick off or so.
We really wanted to tailgate but everything seems like random assortments of small lots which wouldn't even allow you to really tailgate. (Think the parking lots a few blocks west of the AA during heat games)

OK, FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO PARK AND GRILL INDIVIDUALLY:
527 West Pine Street is a fine parking lot. BUT. It is owned by the City of Orlando, and I do not think they will allow grilling.
HOWEVER...right across the street (521 West Central Boulevard) is going to OPEN AT
For Orlando City Soccer, I park in one of these two lots. The Pine Street Lot (Orange Lot) is immaculate, with striped spots and planters and...as a result, it is not as easy to just set up tailgate tents, etc. I have never seen anyone with a large tailgate setup in this lot. Ever.
The Central Boulevard lot (Lot B) is more of a "vacant lot" with a fence around it, and I have definitely seen short tailgates during weekend soccer matches. Some of the lot is grassy, most of it is rough paving.
There is also a third lot, just north of Lot B, but when I spoke to the owner, he told me that a UM alum had purchased 100 parking spots in that lot. I am not sure if he is using all 100 or if he will allow UM fans to park there, but that whole area should be (largely) UM fans.
Advantages of Lot B:
1. It will be 1 block from the Stadium Shuttle pick-up/drop-off, which should be located on Division Avenue, just to the east of the Orange Lot.
2. Opens at
3. Grilling allowed.
4. Lots of Canes fans.
Disadvantages
1. No idea whether City of Orlando will be putting out any port-a-lets in that area, so you may have to find a business down on Church Street in order to use the facilities.
Other Advantages of Lot B:
1. Usually, there are a bunch of the "Lime Bikes" nearby for rent, so if you need to find a bathroom, you could take a bike.
2. (For NY State of Mind) There is the Stonewall Bar a few blocks away, on the other side of Orlando City Soccer Stadium, so this is probably a good place for some to be able to use the restrooms.

If you are bringing multiple cars, but you want to grill, you may want to purchase 1 spot in the Central Boulevard Lot (Lot B) across the street. You could park your cars in the Orange Lot (Pine Street) and do the SUV/pop-up tent at Central Boulevard.
Literally, they are right across the street (Central) from each other.

Pine Street location is like what you describe for Heat games.
Central Boulevard location allows tailgating & grilling.

All of the surrounding lots that are WEST of 441 and EAST of Tampa Street are controlled by Florida Citrus Sports, and thus are not available for purchase.
To the WEST of Tampa Street, (and also north of the stadium), it is a lot like the old Orange Bowl days, houses and apartments with cash parking spaces.
To the EAST of 441, you are heading towards downtown, and this is where the Stadium Shuttle will be running.
Even further to the EAST of I-4, you can park downtown, and then walk underneath I-4 to where the Stadium Shuttle will be running.

OK, the red pin is on the Pine Street parking lot. The stadium is in the left half of the photo.
Parking in the square of: Washington Street on the north, 441 on the east, East-West Expressway on the south, and Tampa Street on the west - all of this is largely controlled by Florida Citrus Sports.
The "Canes United" tailgate is at Jones High School, south of the East-West Expressway.
Church Street bars/restaurants are on the right side of the photo.
The Stadium Shuttle will be running east-west along Church and/or Central and will pick-up/drop-off just to the east of the Pine Street/Central Boulevard parking lots, and then let people out at the stadium by LAKE LORNA DOONE PARK (usually Nashville Avenue).
Orlando City Soccer Stadium (now called Exploria Stadium) is just to the west of the Pine Street/Central Boulevard parking lots.
Not a lot of "high end retail/dining" between the basketball arena and the football stadium. Just giving you a heads up.

I mean...if you want to be honest...my experiences have to do with soccer matches, but the Pine Street Lot is not really a tailgating atmosphere. The layout of the parking lot is like a shopping center. For MLS matches, generally, there is more of a "March to the Match" atmosphere, so the fans pre-game over on Church Street or Orange Avenue and then march down Church Street to the soccer stadium, so there isn't a lot of widespread tailgating. What little I have seen over the years is in the Central lot (Lot B).
I usually pre-pay for the Pine Street lot when it looks like it might rain (like tonight), because it is slightly closer to the soccer stadium. Most people usually just walk out of that lot and over to the stadium, so I have no idea what the atmosphere will be like for football. Have they told you what time the Orange Lot will open? Have they told you whether they will allow grilling on that day?
On the other hand, the Central Boulevard lot is also right across the street from a warehouse that doubles as a "pop-up bar" for soccer matches (it is called Yard Bar). They have this beer yard, they have outdoor bars, cornhole games, bathrooms, etc. The Bar is run by the same people who own the Wall Street bars over on Orange Avenue. I contacted them, and they said that they had special zoning, which only allows them to open Yard Bar for soccer matches. Generally, the stuff on the north side of Central is more of a tailgate atmosphere, between Yard Bar and the Lot B tailgating.
Just trying to give you the lay of the land, hope that helps.
FYI it was just announced that Yard Bar was sold. Due to impact fees the bar owners aren’t moving forward with their plans.

Wow, that just happened in the last few days. I talked to Wall Street/Yard Bar about a month ago. There's only 4 more Orlando City home games, so I wonder if Yard Bar will still be open for those.
One added note, there will also (very likely) be a ton of pedi-cabs that will be running between the Orlando City Soccer parking lots and the football stadium. I just went to the soccer game last night, and the pedi-cab guys were EVERYWHERE.

I dont mind walking and talking **** to gator fans, but if i can ride in a chariot and do it that would be great
