To put it frankly, it’s not about the tuition. It’s the tuition + the fact that sum has had a declining academic reputation and has basically no presence in anything except medicine and maybeeee law still? Which is losing to FIU lol. No one is saying the same thing about Stanford tuition.
It is honestly embarrassing that the school has no visible community impact in tech for example, except the bare minimum, even as the city had a tech moment it failed to capitalize on.
Management seems to have improved but there are just so much low hanging fruit to pick that it’s hard to feel optimistic until it actually starts getting grabbed.
