UM Savannah St. Condensed Game

Didn’t see anything from Rosier that should keep the other slingers on the bench. Just don’t think Rosier has “it” to make the throws the other QBs completed.

Lingard looks like the quickest and fastest back on roster (not sure yet if “smartest” time will tell)

Yikes if that was a corner worth a **** on rosiers first td throw to Mallory they’re going to have a pbu

Best thing I got out of this game was watching the freshmen overall playing very good. As far as there being enough to make changes we would most like to see it was not there for the most part. As I feared Rosier would have decent stats against a nothing team. Back up punter punted once for 34 yards. Reading between the lines I do think this game may prompt some changes in the OL. I just hope the coaches believe this game showed enough to yank Rosier when he falters against a team with a pulse

Rosier starts next week. I would expect he is pulled 1st quarter regardless of what is happening.

Thanks. Need to be careful of excitement given the competition but:

Nesta needs to start with Willis. The combo will remind people of Hurricane DT play from years gone by.

We have our next great TE.

I had not seen anything of Weldon before. He looks the part of modern QB. Big, tall with wheels. I’m betting that if Mark makes a change, he will get first go at it. Rash guess based on very limited information but don’t be surprised.

LL needs more snaps. Kid looks like those 5*s he had.

Couple of our backs did look a little slower.

For all our lasting problem, our WRs do more and better downfield blocking than I can remember ever seeing period. Whoever is teaching them back needs to be kept for that alone.

How do you figure that when he got two series (which resulted in two TDs, mind) and Perry got two quarters?

I don't believe Weldon is even in the race. First, he was in with the back-ups not first team like Perry. Second, and most importantly, he only played 2 short series. It seemed like Richt put him out there to show he was 3rd on the depth chart, but quickly put in Williams. He ended up putting in Williams with over 10 min left in the quarter.

It is clear that the only person Richt would take out Rosier for is Perry. You can tell, though, that he believes Williams is the future, the problem is apparently he is not ready mentally with the playbook and reading defenses.

You can grow old and die waiting for akid to learn playbook after whole redshirt year. Your points are well taken, but the kid has the look about him.

From the condensed game footage above, and albeit against lesser competition, I didn't see a one play in which the OL did poorly, like we saw at lsu. There are a few where the holes weren't exactly what you'd like to see, but not bad. And most of the plays the QBs had time to throw and RBs had lanes. Am I missing something?
