UM S&C potential coach Kurt Hester

He worked with Skippy Bertman at LSU. Skip is a UM guy and grew up on Miami Beach.

Old-time Miami Beach guys grew up loving the U. Skippy went to UM, I believe and was an assistant to Ron Fraser until he was hired by LSU.

Skip was my Dad's fraternity brother at the U. Great baseball coach. I have a friend who played for him.

Happy New Year my good man. Your hardihood demeanor and stern wit will undoubtedly carry you to great heights in this discordant and barbarous world. This type of spirit is increasingly difficult to find - it stirs in me a recollection of the native-spirit I witnessed among the Mapuche indigenous populations during my travels to our hemispheric Southern Cone.

You are a fair and honest lad who has manged to avoid the dodgy rough-edges of life. Many heathens here take part in something they call "dat body bag life." But not us! We have enjoyed an exalted upbringing and refinement is no more a curse than it is a duty. I always enjoy your sophisticated take, unfettered by the skulduggery of the Hobbesian State of Nature. A proper intellectual joust with a rapier's wit such as the one you have ripened is always good fun before I have a go at my nightly tug.

But when we hear we’re getting one of those guys, like fedora, everybody has a collective coronary because he failed at some other job.

Doesn’t matter who we get, we’re all gonna skewer him for one reason or another anyway.
 
I'm beginning to think if word got out Manny was looking at a trained monkey for a position some on here would say the monkey is a "Savage" and "I want him" and "it's a home run hire". Some will slurp anything they think Diaz is doing.

Amen. Some posters on this board aren't happy unless they're miserable.

UMiami fans would **** and moan about Urban Meyer to the Canes back in 2005 because he "hadn't coached at a P5 level and there's no reason to think he'd be able to replicate his results." Most often, major programs hire unproven (Swinney) or pull guys from the lower tiers/less reputable programs/unproven coordinators (LSU with Saban, UCF with Scott Frost, ND with Kelly, OU with Riley, and on and on and on) to fill positions; it's just a fact of life in major college football.

I get all the negativity surrounding Mark. I was as guilty as anyone of hating on the guy, but we actually had legit reasons to be ****ed.

Hating on a coach because his resume isn’t spotless, like fedora, who failed at a completely different job altogether, it’s just pointless.

Everyone thought diaz was gonna fail. Simpson too. Etc etc

I guess if we get a S&C guy from a bigger program we'll have to hear how they lost that game that one time and it's clearly because they were weak.

This is a really dumb post. If someone turns on someone because of their background than we have much bigger problems in our locker room. Some players may not like him, but more likely because he bust their *** into the weight room and not because of where he is from.
 
Like I’ve said befor I don’t do social media.
I live in Broward and so does the breeder I got my dog from.
If he likes hog hunting tell him that bliss is like a 2 hrs drive north of coral gables.
If your squeamish then don’t look.
