UM S&C potential coach Kurt Hester

Forget where I read it, but it said he is already a consultant for a bunch of D1 programs including us already and FSU as well

We have a bunch of no names and fired left over from Mark. These coaches do not hire best possible but rather best frigging friends

He’s nuts?

Watched a couple videos. He sounds extremely particular and intentional. In fact, it seems like very little of his life is accidental.

I’m not sure where the hillbilly/culture stuff comes from either. He’s the Mona Lisa of hipster dads everywhere lol

I'm warming up to Manny because despite his inexperience HE seems like the coach that has been coaching for 15 years at UGA. Not Richt. Richt had from the end of the season before the bowl game to the off-season to put together a staff and it was underwhelming. Manny has about 2 weeks and the staff might be better then Richt's.
Yeah basically Richt's staff relied on him being a phenomenal play caller.

Considering he won twp National Titles as one we all convinced ourselves that he could be that guy again.

Alas he wasn't and here we are.

Why do people keep calling him crazy? I’m 20 minutes into this podcast and he seems like a normal, well educated coach. Recommend listening to the interview enlightening insight from Hester

I said it cause of some of his antics and pure passion for the strength and conditioning field. Not as a slight. His off-season videos are entertaining but I can’t find them anymore. Lots of crazy team challenges out in torrential downpours. Workouts in the snow. This dude doesn’t stop. I’m pretty sure he was instructed by doctors to stop lifting and he won’t.

I don't know. I eff with this crazy inbred hick. In a way, he kinda does fit Miami's style. People got to understand, Miami football isn't about race, religion, or upbringing. It's a mindset, a way of life. Hard work and a willingness to hustle. That creates a champion.

That's my poster man.

Gotcha. I was referring to the people calling him crazy based off things read/heard rather than his actual coaching. Best thing I've heard this podcast is that Hester reads 4-5 books a month and is constantly learning. Seems like a perfect fit with Diaz

His resume says it. If we hire him that could.help stop him from consulting FSU and Bama and others

I've been clamoring for a Hatch disciple since Moffitt left. This is a wet dream for me.

I care more about S&C'ing hires than any other staffer. An elite SC program can mask a whole lotta issues.

You can't compete for ships without an elite program these days.

I feel like ive been echoing this as well for a looooooong time.

Some of the best strenght coaches have come out of Louisiana. Almost all have learned under Gayle Hatch. Little known fact. Our two best strength coaches are Hatch disciples. Brad Roll and Tommy Moffit. ----- Brad Roll was the Head man during our 1989, and 91 championships. Tommy was here during Butch.
