UM Prof resigns for Zooming **** bookmark

I think the wording on the **** tab was a bigger issue. "busty college girl fu." I can imagine the girls in that class would be pretty uncomfortable around the professor after that.

A local high school baseball coach in my area was fired because parents from the local community saw him buying beer at a local grocery store. The town is in a very a small district, one of those 'everyone knows everyone', type of towns. But, yeah, dude got fired because he was seen buying a case of beer, and it created a headache of calls from local 'connected' parents, lol.

So this was him?

While I was in grad school there, a professor (whose course I had taken a previous semester) was arrested for solicitation of prostitution. Guessing he had tenure because he wasn't let go. What sucks for this business lecturer guy is it was just a simple bookmark. Relatively tame title, too.

Marvin Jones. I was in law school there at the time. He was a criminal law professor which made it funnier. I think he offered the undercover $20 for a bj.

I wonder how the interview for his next position will go.

Honestly, how do you prepare to answer that question, obviously its easy to find out why he left, but...

Q: "So why did you resign from UM?"

Hopefully his next position he will teaching an anatomy course, and maybe can put together a reasonable explanation for his actions.

Grad school or law school?

Another poster has mentioned D. Marvin Jones, a tenured professor at the law school, taught Crim Pro (required 1L course) and a few other courses. I was his Dean's Fellow (teaching assistant) one semester, though the prostitution bust was a few years after I graduated.

That’s weak. He should have been more careful but **** it’s his personal computer. He didn’t solicit any one nor did he do anything perverted. Weak as ****
It was his personal computer? I would take it to court then. Sue the frigging nosy students who gathered and shared unauthorized personal data. Creative but that is how new law is born. Since it wasn't school's computer he might have defense against being fired. Company computer and he would probably be dead meat. But unless school prohibited his using personal computer then he has shot against them.

Regardless, the rule is never use your personal computer for company business(had FBI prosecuted HRC everyone would know that). For me, I don't like to do anything for free. My work laptop crashes, I'm just drawing full pay until they fix it or ship me a new one. Mine is vastly better with more current software but they didn't pay for it. Keep your private crap of company computer and company stuff off your private one.

I understand.... But still, he's a professional. It's his job to double check for those "mistakes". being an adult doesn't matter in that situation.
That’s not really his job. Profs aren’t all that smart. The job title carries more clout than the people that carry it.

Had an embarrassing Zoom incident myself. I was on screen share and went to pull up a file with my attendees and of course in my download folder are all of nudes my girlfriend was sending.

Lucked out and we all just laughed about it (and honestly, between their own phones and web browsing, half the people aren't paying attention to what's on their screen during these meetings anyway). I don't see why this Professor should resign or lose his job, especially seeing as there was no actual pornography shown. It was an honest mistake and no laws were broken. Any reasonable leader would file this one under the "Hey, be more careful next time" tab.

He displayed his computer screen (whether it was his personal computer or the school's computer) on a school network intended for teaching classes.

It wasn't "nosy students who gathered". It was students attending an online class.

Not sure why this is so difficult to understand.

Coronavirus. Online classes. Professor teaching a class.

The Man literally lost his job for being a man.
Remember phoebe cates in fast times at ridgemont high? A dude was *********ing to a high school chick that came out of the pool and took of her top off. The film was directed by a woman. It grossed a sht ton more than it cost to produce and it was placed in the national film registry in 2005.
That scene and that movie wouldn’t even make it to production today.
Busty college girls isn’t supposed cause any type of response to a man now a days. Pussification of society. How shocking to think that male college professor actually has a *** drive. God forbid.
