Man, I just got to the beach for a week vacation up here in NC. 3 beers in so far and opened this thread, had no idea. The women are cooking dinner...life is great. Can't wait til Monday for more good news.

All these kids needed was a staff, program and a HC to believe in. We gave them all three in spades. If we had a hole or a weakness, Mario and Rad have spent the last six plus months fixing it. This month is going to be legendary for us, that’s all.

Good players make good coaches look very good. Very good players make coaches look great.
Assistants are all trying to move up to HC. So assistants want to go where they will have opportunities to recruit and coach the very good/great players.
Like you noted, we will replace any good assistant with another good assistant. That will be easy for all the reasons we have discussed. Coaching at UM will make assistants appear to be ready for a HC position. Saban, Dabo, Urban, all have great assistants and their programs are seen as stepping stones to a HC position.
What a day to be a Hurricanes fan.

The best part in all this is the linchpin in all this ,Mario,isn’t here to use the U as a stepping stone to somewhere else.

Mario is at his dream job with the money being on par with the top jobs and he’s being given everything he’s asking for.

We’ve always been a stepping stone for HC’s careers having to start over with another HC as soon as they have been successful.Not anymore…..

Not to derail or bring negativity to this thread or these days in general, but I got so tired of defending us from those that said we were not a desirable destination for HC's. So freaking tired. We hired bums. Hires who each took us down another notch sooner than later.

So glad to still be around for this glorious ride we've started. Time to show this generation just who the f**k we are.
