UM OC Dan Enos Press Conference

It actually means more if Tate isn’t eligible.

Assuming Tate would win the job.
No it actually means exactly what I said..if Tate isn’t eligible he’s not winning the job..furthermore if Tate isn’t available then we are depending on kosi most likely and I don’t trust it no matter who the OC is. Unless Jarren blows the comp out of the water..so in conclusion if our oline gets pushed around like it did in long stretches of games last year AND we don’t have Tate available we still will struggle in acc play

The video discussed being multiple, using motions and all those other buzz words. To which you said it means nothing if Tate isn’t playing.

I’m saying doing all those things becomes more important with a less talented QB.

I wasn’t responding to the video..was responding to another poster. But I agree with you the video talks about things that help a QB, as long as we have a left tackle..left guard..a center who doesn’t get pushed back against sav st and FIU.. bells and whistles are nice but you have to be able to execute up front on a consistent basis

Yea. Let’s see how the line does with P5 level coaching and game planning.

So therefore no excuses..that works for me
None. There were no excuses for richt, or golden either. All these guys just haven’t been good coaches here.

If this regime is as inept as the last 2, keep looking till we find someone who isn’t.

I think they offense will click and become lethal by mid season. The dilemma comes, what do we do right out of the gate versus Floriduh. Wish whenever there were new coaching regimes that the coordinators were able to get an extra week or longer to install the offense properly. With as bad as things were under Richt here, I would imagine that it will take several dress rehearsals going through the offensive plays before things click.

Man, the NCAA is surely taking their time with Tate’s case. Anyone know how long it was before Fields got his decision? I know they’re separate cases, uniquely different but was wondering if there were any guidelines by which BJ could start getting restless knowing they’re dragging their feet.

So it’s all on the coaches..ok gotcha. I see your point. When we were great it was on coaches but the players were all accountable for each other. Diaz talked about players being accountable in his presser just like the past. We have to get back to that. When u miss a blocking assignment it’s not on the coaching. When u drop a pass or miss a tackle that’s player accountability..like I said I’m not disagreeing with but there’s two sides to it

All this means nothing unless Tate is eligible and the oline is better
Wrong again. A good OC, combined with a HC with a pulse who can lead men, will take all the same guys and produce a much better offense in 2019. It’ll be just like how Manny took the same guys Doritos wasted and produced a much better defense.

Nope, don't expect anything from him. He's going to say the same nonsense every other coach says. ****, al wanted to be "multiple" and had "pillars". I just don't get excited by press conferences because coaches have perfected the art of talking and not saying anything.
You got excited enough to make several curmudgeonly posts about how unimpressed you are.

Ok. Once again I’m not disagreeing. Your just telling 1half of the issue. You can’t say 0% is on the players. It’s like a parent blaming a kid for their child getting bad grades. At some point it’s a lil bit

If you have a coach using the prevent as his base D, or runnning a variety of plays so limited that the D knows where the ball is going pre snap, then nothing else will matter.

I have a hard time blaming players when their coaching staff is setting them up to fail.

Like I said I’m not disagreeing with any of what u said..but if your sitting here telling me that the oline can preform at the same level as it did last year along with the bad QB play..and Enos O will run smoothly I’d have to full heartedly disagree. And if you tell those two under preformed all because of coaches then I disagree on that too. It can’t all be coaches. That’s a cop out. It can’t be all on players either that why I agree with your point.

We have 3 obvious problems that need to be fixed on O. We have addressed 1out of 3 so far. That one being getting a new scheme in the program. The last two are identifying the issues up front and fixing them. And lastly gettin a Miami caliber QB ( at this point I believe it’s Tate). If those last two are not addressed and fixed then the scheme will still struggle.

We are absolutely deficient in those area. Those deficiencies were compounded by a coaching staff who did nothing to address the issues in-game.

I’m honestly not sure how much improvement we’ll see from coaching alone. Yea perry looked bad and jarred didn’t see the field, but they had no real QB coach. Our OL looked like dog shlt, but they were being forced into the same power running play over and over.

So who knows what they’ll look like, but I’m a big believer in the ability of coaching to improve the player. And at least in the ability of coaching to hide the deficiencies of the player.

Nothing against Enos, but man I hate coach-speak.

Multiple this, and find out who the guys are that, and instal the other. Multiple! Pillars! Toughness! Effort!!! WE'RE GONNA PLAY FAST!! BECAUSE MULTIPLE!!!!!!

What do you want him to say? He hasn’t even had a practice with the team yet. He is talking about his philosophy. Btw Mallory and Jordan and going to have a huge year. Mallory will be our Hunter Henry type TE.

Williams is better than kosi.

I like da pillars of success. I always thought Al Golden was under appreciated by the fans as far as his slogans were concerned.
