UM is “Swinging for the Fences” — M.R.

That has to mean Mario. There’s no other candidate, not with everyone else re-upping and getting contract extensions. If I was Kiffin I’d be ****ed after throwing my name into the hat. It’s so Miami to not look at alternative HC’s and only “swing for the fences” with Mario only.
I think its been so miami cause its failed cause we've hired ****. It isn't so USC to hire Riley, or LSU to hire Kelly cause they are established guys. Mario has now done some winning so its a better swing and miss also cause of the ties here. But your point make sense overall. I just am not sure that we'd end up with a better candidate than Mario honestly........although I can see alot of folks saying Kiffin....I like the idea of kiffin just think mario is better for the long term. We'll see.

Make sure you send that memo to USC & LSU.
LSU wanted numerous coaches though. ****, early on they wanted Jimbo until he came out and said **** no. They wanted Riley and he also said **** no. Then it was time to give the bag to Kelly. They actually did what they could and “swung for the fences” on all 3 candidates. All 3 are top 10 coaches in college football. There’s people reporting that if Miami can’t get Mario(maybe a top 15 coach), they’ll just basically give up and keep the bozo Diaz. That makes no sense and shows the difference in the importance of football to both schools.

I think with how big of a **** show this is it's making me warm up to mario more

still not sold on him though. Offense has regressed and he is stuck in his ways of how to run it (ala Richt) and very questionable in-game decisions.

hopefully it works out and I think he'll be more successful than manny or anyone else in twenty years but I really really really hope he pays big $$ for an OC because we'll need it

Those guys have bigger bag d*cks currently so their level of coaches they can pursue is not the same as Miami. I get what you are saying but you also have to be realistic about the job here.

I agree, 10000000000000000% - anything is better than Manny and give me Lane if no Mario or someone other candidate.

Maybe the AD/Mario are tied together?

They're both "in" if the other is?

Rob Mullen, Oregon's athletic director, isn't an "Oregon guy" based on what I could find about him. Looks like he went to college at West Virginia and actually worked at The U from 1994-1996.

I've convinced myself, that this is just the university coming full circle. The mediocrity started as a Sh*tshow and so it has to end in a Sh*tshow. It's the only way to exorcise the demons surrounding the program.
