UM is all about the paper. Shalala is a hero because she was good at raising money, it doesn't matter how many boondoggles or missteps she had, she is considered a hero because she raised a lot of money for the school.
UM brass will probably look at Blake the same way because he seems to be able to raise money. It doesn't matter how bad the actual athletic programs are under Blake's watch as long as he can find a way to raise money.
