Holy smokes Jahair Jones came out of flipping JUCO an he could only bench 225lbs nine times when he arrived at Miami in January as an olinemen, that is unreal. No wonder he was getting tossed like salad during spring practice. I understand for taller players getting the leverage needed during the bench press is hard to do, but wow.
I am impressed with his progress in transforming his body and his willingness to openly talk about wanting to win the Coastal this year. I could see him redshirting for 2015 which is unfortunate considering he is a Juco kid, but long term it would do wonders for his development. The good thing is he has 4 years to play 3 so he can afford to redshirt since he is only a true sophomore.
