UM Football Camp Question?

My guess, drills, coaching philosophies exchanged, recruiting, evaluations, taping of players who are sleepers at this point. Guest speakers, orange slices issued, players that Miami is actively recruiting will get the 5 star treatment, (Tours, meet Donna, pictures taken with national championship trophies, see new jerseys, locker room, and Swartz center), May pull of a commitment or two. Ray Lewis or another famous alumni may be on campus.....ummm, stuff like that.

It seems like a good camp, but have we ever gotten a commitment from that camp who panned out? Larry Hope? Ricardo Williams? Who else...

actually all summer camps are named after the coach. FSU's is known as the Jimbo Fisher Camp, etc. Not sure if there is a rule stating as much or what.

I don't think Ricardo's commit came after a Camp. In fact, Williams was all but headed to UNC, until Al was named coach and started recruiting him. Golden hadn't had a camp at that time.

But you're right -- I can't recall any player that's camped, committed, and ended up being a productive player for UM.

Hoilett was another, if im not mistaken, that's not done much.

Didn't Darrion Owens, Darrell Langham, and Trayone Gray, & Charles Perry commit at the Camp last year?
