I’m already pretty down on this team overall and I’m hearing from sauce’s inside the school that Mario already lost this team’s respect. Not sure how that happened so fast but I’m not too confident here. Still I’ll go with

The me-first kids we recruit haven't had respect for anyone besides themselves (and sometimes not even that) for going on 20 years, so I'm not sure why this would surprise you.

Yep, the fact that those kids don't respect Mario is a sign that we are right about the kind of kids we recruit. He needs to clean house.

Time to clean house. Our roster is full of entitled brats. These kids aren’t used to playing for a coach who doesn’t coddle them, tolerate bull****, and demand a certain standard…and it shows.

This is such meaningless bullshlt, it’s mind boggling.

What does this even mean? How many players? In what way have they lost respect? Who’s saying this?

It’s just meaningless and vague gobbledygook.

The record and performance so far speaks for itself. So it’s easy to say stuff like this, to prop up your “insider status“.

Maybe it’s just me, but I respect specific information, not general unprovable bs that floats around up in the ether. For all I know this could be completely made up.

Literal garbage and makes no sense to post nor does it make sense based on what we’re seeing. Our kids are fighting hard. But the injuries and scheme do no favors

It is a complete fallacy that “vegas” wants 50/50 action.

Lines are set based off power ratings made by a computer and maybe some slight manual adjustment for injury or spot. That line is then shaped by sharp bettors that bet openers.

Take this Duke game for example. Open Duke +10. Limits are low on Sunday, so by letting sharp bettors bet into your opening line but for only small amounts, you see that they played Duke. Ok, you get a max bet ($3000) on Duke +10, so you move it to +9. You take another bet, and another and you’re at -7. And the sharp bettors stop betting it, so that’s where it stays until limits open up on Tuesday ($10k or so).

You take a bet for $5k Miami -7 from a respected bettor, so you move it to -7.5. Immediately Duke +7.5 is snapped up again by sharp bettors. You are confident -7 is the correct line.

On Saturday, when the public comes in and starts betting their $20s and $50s and $100s, the book couldn’t give a **** where this money is bet. They will take all the $100 bets in the world on Miami -7, because they know -7 is the proper line. So then they will need Duke +7, and they will sweat that game just like a bettor does.

The public doesn’t move lines unless it is a game like the super bowl. 50/50 action is a fallacy. Books take sides, they just take the right side way more often that joe public does.

So, I’m no insider. My buddy who works in the school (not football, and observer here) for the last 20 years sometimes thinks of himself as one. He’s told me some definite truths in the past but also some stuff I didn’t believe like Manny telling Richt to **** off at a meeting in front of players. Anyway, The way he worded it to me was to look at Mario with the players in spring and at the beginning of season and to look at him now. That if he did get in the players face they will tell him to F off and he knows it.
