I went to UM with Johnny, and was active in Student Government and other campus activities with him. Very good guy, I spent a lot of time hanging out with him. Not a lot of people know that Johnny graduated first in his class at Dillard and had the full-ride academic scholarship at UM. One of the smartest classmates I met at UM.

As for why he's hanging with Trump, in 2018 Trump appointed him to the advisory board that oversees HBCUs (though Johnny went to UM and Drake for law school).

To me is was classic Cane statement that 20 years ago would have not even need to be said. It would have been assumed. Glad he reminded us of who we are.
 
Johnny Taylor was elected to the BOT in 2017, idk know when he became chairman, but before everyone bows down to his nut sack, let's see what positive influence he can have on the football program.

He maybe the saviour, but let's see.

Johnny's a great guy, and his specialization is Human Resources, so I will be very interested to see if he will have a positive impact on how the rest of the BOT analyzes the AD/HC candidates in the future.

We still have to get rid of Frenk. Frenk probably will get an extra year due to Covid-19, but I'd really like to see what Johnny's BOT group will do about a new president for UM.
 
we only get a season if students are brought back imo. there's been some talk of a spring season among power 5 ADs which would make sense. hopefully we get a season

Frenk has been terrible for UM in every regard. Guy needs to go.
