What is this "**** about him" rumor with Dugans you referenced? I saw the same thing somewhere else but don't know what it was. I stay on top of Canes news as much as anybody and hadn't heard anything.
Apparently he played favorites (cager), divided the WR room. Some of the coaches fought the players, I don't know if Dugans was one. Ask @nycane

Well yeah I don't think that's a rumor at this point. But feel like that came from Richt. No receiver in his right **** mind could look at Cager and thought he should start.

I heard about him "fighting" Thomas, but I'll use some logic here and assume the 40+ year old paid professional didn't start the fight with the 20 year old kid.

Enos thinks enough of Stubblefield from their brief time together, to bring him on. Obviously, Stubbs made quite an impact. I'm good with this until he gives me real reason not to be, and what he posts on twitter definitely ain't it.

People look at the amount of places he's been as a negative but he keeps getting hired for a reason, and he's very experienced. The fact that he racked up all those catches tells me he knows plenty about playing the position.

I think he will kill it as a WR coach, teaching the nuisances of the position. I expect improved play there. My only question is recruiting but he's young and relatable, he's got potential there. Plus, if Cooney is the recruiting savant you all say he is, then he should have plenty of help.

I hope he knocks it out of the park. For obvious reasons but also to make you losers posting 37474 times in 16337 threads dogging him like scorned lovers, eat crow.

Yeah you are ahead of me, my brother was class of 86. I moved there in 87 and graduated in 99. Grew up a half mile from the locks, used to ride my bike through the trails behind Sportsman's Village that came out on the east side of the locks.
Heh. Guess you took up where I left off. That area was nothing but woods near the train tracks to the locks. I lived near the Seargents and Goodwins. Big dairy pastures and cane fields all around.

Probably enough thread hijacking for everyone. PM me if you want to continue this conversation.

People will knock Stubblefield cause he doesnt have that splash name. Fact is we need our receivers to CATCH the ball. He can teach that. He was incredible as a WR himself and did not possess a ton of ungodly talent. Just worked. He would be someone the Patriots would hire that you never heard of and dudes just produce.

The hire is definitely an upgrade over Dugans. I like Dugans but that WR core was toxic last year and there was zero accountability!

half the receivers nearly left bc of him. he did say that he used tough love w thomas knowing whatever was bothering jeff and didnt work. not saying how JT handled it was right, but his teammates seemed to have clearly wanted him back w the program.
