UM announces Enos as OC, releases statement

So, let me get this straight... He was OC at Arkansas, then not retained when Belemia was fired. Then he joins Alabama as QB coach. So, other than being Alabama's QB coach, what the **** has Enos ever done as OC? Arkansas was a dumpster fire. What the actual F is this? Yeah, I know some Bama **** slobbers are loving this hire, but I simply do not see this as a wow moment. Yay, he might bring Bama's version of Malik Rosier along. Hot ****. ***** this amateur crap.

First, I am not "negative". I was actually very enthusiastic about Applewhite. I literally posted "I'm excited" in the thread about him. I also like the DC hire and the S&C hire.

Second, you mentioned results. Fine, let's talk results. Enos may very well be a good QB coach. That's great. But his results as an OC/play caller are underwhelming. Stats posted in this thread: https://www.canesinsight.com/threads/the-tale-of-dan-penos-in-numbers.144499/#post-3796996

He was the head coach at Central Michigan from 2010-2014:
Total offense:
2010: 49th
2011: 57th
2012: 64th
2013: 110th
2014: 70th

Here’s what he does as offensive coordinator at Arkansas:

2015: 25th
2016: 54th
2017: 94th

Tell me why I should be excited about this hire without using the word "Bama"?

Those numbers are extremely alarming. How can anyone be excited about that?

Freaking exactly. I'm so **** close to being done with college football. Life is too short for ****** football.

Exactly. So far the only reason people seem to be excited about this hire is that we are getting him from Alabama. I don't think people understand that he was not the play caller there. The offensive numbers he has produced as either HC or play caller are disconcerting.

Probably, but that is to be expected, your negative. This guy is well known in the coaching community and a QB specialist that has called plays. He's tailor made to solve UM's issues and a great hire. The coaching community knows this guy and that's what really matters. Do you really think someone coaches at Alabama with results he had and isn't a high caliber coach? Much better coach than Lane Kiffin, no comparison.
You know Kiffin coaches at Bama too?how could he not be great too?

Ssshhh. They think we got Saban.

Georgia naming Coley OC immediately after Enos was hired tells you which job that was.

Actually a bit more happy about this. I was thinking with Fedora and to a point Applewhite, they would be a one and done type of hire. This has a more longevity if successful type of hire
