All over twitter. Any truth to this? Either we truly don't have any money or they just simply don't want to invest.

UAB treatment in few years seems like a reality.

If they're parting ways, it's probably Nike dropping the U (a former great brand).

Winners sell stuff. Loser's stuff sits on shelves. It's Nike's way of joining the BOYCOTT.

Insane logic. Just look at the schools Nike sponsors. The only way Nike and Miami will separate is if Miami wants more money.

If Adidas or Under Armor are offering alot more Money allow Nike to Match or get in the same ballpark or take the higher offer. I doubt the school will chose Adidas or Under Armor if they are barely offering more than Nike.

Nike wouldn't spend two years trying to rebrand Miami to suddenly drop them less than a year later. Makes no sense.

I highly doubt Nike would drop UM after just laying out a new jersey/pant scheme this past season. They wouldn't have even entertained that idea if they didn't think the U was worth the investment of that R and D. Only way UM and Nike split is if UA or adidas blow Nike's offer out of the water.

Lol at any idiot thinking nike is dropping us. Wins and losses aside, UM is still a big name for Nike.

I think Miami would consider Under Armour if the cash was right, but I just can't see them going with Adidas, it wouldn't make any sense.

But would Under Armour want to get into the ACC business after what the ACC did to their baby Maryland? Seems like a conflict of interest.

Miami's brand is one of the strongest brands in the business. Doubt they'd drop us but could see Al vouching that we switch to Pony or Asics

Bottom line is sales dollars vs Nike's investment in the brand. I don't have any sales figures, but anyone can see the brand cachet is DEAD.

Stop your slurping and get over it. The administration has squandered the U brand, and they will reap the lack of financial rewards.

Golden next year, I can see the excuse now "Well how do you expect us to compete in these big games without Nike gear anymore"

The brand is so dead but Nike invested who knows how much time and money to create an entire new look for us? Okie dokie.

Just give me the company who gives us non-Oregon-wannabe uniforms please. 80% of what we took the field in this year was a goddam disgrace.
