Good luck to the young man. Doubts don't matter for some, they're proven wrong often. Things will get sorted out on the field. The way we take portal QB's, I value anyone who thinks they can come here and we'll resist that temptation if chasing the best looking for a new home. It's a rough time for recruited QB's.

Its awesome to have a guy like this on the roster...hope things bank right.

In modern college football, id like to see him play real ball before a QB plays here.

The catch22 of modern CFB, I suppose.

The biggest takeaway I’ve gotten in the last 2 years is trusting MC’s evals on talent. There will always be outliers. I think he is well aware of the size disparity for Coleman but the great thing for us is we don’t need him to play right away…. Or maybe even next year. So unless his physical development mirrors Jaylan Knighton’s I’m not too worried about it.

No one knows if that’s completely true. What we do know is that we’ve been fortunate enough to have infinitely better options available to us in the portal.

Reps matter…in game and practice with the ones, the kids we bring in will never get the opportunity to show what they got because we can grab high end proven commodities.

Nickel is a good prospect with great potential but I dont see anything special as of yet. Id say same for Coleman but the way that ball comes off his hand pops out to me. Id be fine with letting them compete for the job next year unless another Cam Ward/Mensah type wants in.

I am unhappy to read that a thread describing possibly the next Lamar Jackson/ Cam Ward hybrid gives you such emotional pain.

Don't fret. I don't have emotional pain.

But I have some experience inflicting emotional pain. And physical pain. And come to think of it - quickly ending pain.

But I appreciate your effort at empathy.

yep exactly i havent seen anything as of yet. Coleman is obviously in the same boat as a true freshman but im a fan of his release and how the ball comes out his hand. Coaches get to see em everyday in practice so they know better then fans..If they decide duke it out i wont be mad they both have good potential.
