I think the kid is a natural. I also think he's going to be a gamer. Coleman and Nickel will both be quality QBs. I may be getting a bit ahead of myself but I think whoever we sign at QB for 2027 is going to be very good. This is beginning to look like the way our QB room is supposed to look.

Cam Ward: I don’t know, that might’ve been a pick against fsu, can’t be throwing no picks against fsu.

Coleman: I will never throw a pick against fsu.

Cam: Thats what I wanna hear.

I been called it , Coleman will be a stater here, and a pretty good one.

“This kid is too short”

— Same people who loved D’Eriq King
The thing is we will win games but as program we are on championship standards now, and in playoffs any limitation matters.. Even wiit D'eriq size became issue with injuries that hurt season. Kid looks 150 pounds, he needs to be inhaling food just for it to be debateable. 5'11 150 qb is tough unless we ok going back to 8-4/7-5 type standard

I get it… but I remember Bryce Young’s 24/7 recruiting profile had him at 5’11 183lbs… some how by the time the NFL combine came 3 years later he “shrunk” to 5’10.

The biggest takeaway I’ve gotten in the last 2 years is trusting MC’s evals on talent. There will always be outliers. I think he is well aware of the size disparity for Coleman but the great thing for us is we don’t need him to play right away…. Or maybe even next year. So unless his physical development mirrors Jaylan Knighton’s I’m not too worried about it.

Hope I’m wrong but I don’t see it with him.

I'm no QB guru, but I see a low release point which is going to be problematic at this level. Watch full game with him in HS, not just the highlight packages.
Having said all this, I also hope I am wrong and I invite fellow posters to remind me by one of those infamous thread bumps.

He didnt shrink lol.. Colleges always boost up guys an inch or two.. especially when they dont have prototype size. He needs to eat, and gain weight. Him using texas AM QB as reason why he is fine is not ideal to me because he is even smaller than him.
