Having your supposed power 4 conference’s top ranked team politicked out of the playoff 2 of 4 years is so flipping embarrassing. Dude should resign today. Maybe the monetary loss to this craphole of a conference will at least give the ADs the intestinal fortitude to force him to resign and then cancel this Notre Dame scheduling agreement.

Well said, conference gains nothing by playing ND. Lost to best team in conference than got to pad stats beating the bottom feeders of the conference, UM out ND in and they keep all the money from the CFP and the conference makes no money. Only positive is the conference looks like clown show and they go home with no money their pockets.
 
No doubt Phillips is getting an ND kick back for ******* Miami. Well at least someone in the ACC will make some $$$$ for this disaster.

He handed over the trophy, made sure he was included in a few photos --- but not a word from him on ESPN when he could've popped in the booth while McDonough and McElroy were killing time 20-something minutes after the game was over.

This isn't just negligence towards Miami and Duke (which is clearly better than James Madison regardless of record)

I'm not a conspiracy theorist. But something fishy is going on because Sankey was on the SEC Network yesterday DOING HIS JOB and promoting the SEC the day before the selection committee announces their picks.

So why, exactly, has Phillips dropped out of the public eye?
